Re: "worlds" graphite team car
i took the pure-tech battery strap off in favor of a stock battery box. although i wish i had a white one. i took a 12l graphite front brace and cut it down into a battery hold down.

That's too bad, I would've sent you a 10L one...I guess I'll cut it down for a 12L.scr8p wrote: i took a 12l graphite front brace and cut it down into a battery hold down.
Also, I guess we need to name all the different patterns...

Re: "worlds" graphite team car
sorry.
this car is gonna have a 2.25 stealth with a b4 topshaft. i found some cool lightened b4 slipper hubs in the discount box at one of my lhs's while back, and i want to use them on this build.

Were those the Trinity ones? I've seen a lot of those in the bargain bins lately.

Re: "worlds" graphite team car
i'd have to find them, but i'm 99.9% sure they are. i thought they looked pretty cool, and it's something other than stock.RichieRich wrote:Were those the Trinity ones? I've seen a lot of those in the bargain bins lately.

i just remembered i have an mip 2.61 change box. that might find it's way on to this chassis. i just don't like how it changes the angle of the motor plate.

Re: "worlds" graphite team car
I've been meaning to ask, are B4 tranny parts like the outdrives and top shaft interchangeable with the earlier stealth transmissions?

Re: "worlds" graphite team car
well, since i stole the battery box off this car for another build, i had to find another alternative. so, i had an extra battery lid for the ultra molded chassis laying around, and i figured what the hell. i'm not totally sure i like it on there. it's only 2 holes i'll need to fill if i decide to take it off.

Re: "worlds" graphite team car
that actually looks pretty good. mabey you could bend up some lexan and build a lower box and paint it white to match.
or better yet cover the lexan in carbon fiber vinyl.

Re: "worlds" graphite team car
The differences in the carbon is the top fabric, it varied alot between the two suppliers AE used
the larger "squares" are 6k fabric, the smaller or "normal" look is 3k, and there are always differences from manufacturers of the raw fabric, plus the colored tacsaliyum fabric.............
herringbone weave..............................................................1k..................................
But with AE the internal structure of the carbon (which was genuine graphite based) was the
same. TQ10 not included

Re: "worlds" graphite team car
wow reg you really know youre graphite, but i guess that's expected from a master chassis builder. on that note you wouldn't happen to have any sheets left that have a 20 degree kick up would you? or how about one of thoes disruptor chassis?
