Already in my amazon cart :)

One other question. I can only find old new stock for the stealth transmission gasket 6566. that is the last part to get it all up and running.

Thanks again all!

you can convert to worlds style wheels, but that may require different axles. look at team associated website for:

https://www.teamassociated.com/parts/details/6801-ASC6801-rc10_front_wheel_conversion/
https://www.teamassociated.com/parts/details/6802-ASC6802-rc10_rear_wheel_conversion/

and wheels you need are in the descriptions.
Just noticed My car has universals on the rear end. So the kit posted is needing dog bones on both ends. The cva kit for the classic says it's a 1/4" axle. Are the rere classic wheels 1/4" or 3/16"? And if I got the cva kit, would I need new hubs and bearings? I'm sorry for all the questions

I'm wanting to run the classics 3 pcs wheels

Figured I should post a photo of my junker thus far.

Ordered a set of classic wheels, tires, servo mount, bearings, and a body. Also a banggood racerstar 3650kv brushless setup.

All bearings replaced (minus wheels as they've not arrived yet, rebuilt shocks, rebuilt trans (but apparently my ball diff setup is toast -missing a few balls on the hub screw) so new ball diff kit ordered. Threw in a temporary axial ae2 and titan 12t as well as the old futaba servo. Everything looks and works good except the car doesn't go anywhere. Motor and spur spin but car only crawls. After the new kit arrives I'll report back

A setback. The set of classic rere wheels arrived, but came with 3 rear hubs and only one front. eBay seller is telling me to contact team associated first before he will refund me.

The rere classic tires all arrived but can't assemble yet :( last thing to get it running

Got the rere servo mounts and got steering redone (I had used 3m automotive trim tape but it flexed too much.

SIde note and question, but my spur gear doesn't have any steel balls in it and only one side has a slipper. And the one side that takes a screw only screws into the top plate. Doesn't screw into the spur

That's how the original stealth slipper was. Spur screwed to it.

Ok, so new spur needed then because this ones stripped. Compared pics to the 25yr thread and I must have been drinking because I assembled the slipper wrong with the spur between the two metal halves of the diff like I would my crawler. I priced converting to the b series setup but at current prices it's over $50 to do. And since this i picked up a 4x4 slash for a steal as a basher, so I want this to be more cherished as beat up but running.

Does the new part number 6693 fit? It's got a lot more holes.

So buggy is still sitting as i'm stumped on the slipper assembly. 1 bearing has the right ID for the top shaft but the wrong OD for the slipper/spur combo. Other bearing has the right OD for the slipper spur but wrong for the top shaft.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/222440818776

So cutting to the chase i ordered a complete B4.2 topshaft slipper kit from ebay for $24. Includes everything listed in the "how to update" threads. I'll report back in a week or so.

Doh, should have asked first, just didn't want to do nothing but ask questions. Oh well, it'll be updated to modern spur gears now

I"ll also order that bushing so i'll have the orig slipper setup too if i end up going full shelf queen on another car.

Thanks again, you guys are a wealth of knowledge on these cars!
