Did Novak ever use gold colored (eg. like the ones on Tekin) heatsinks on their vintage esc's? I was looking at a M1c for sale and it has gold heatsinks.
I hit it at $52 at the last few seconds, no more time to go higher. Oh well, I bought a working one on eBay last week for $44. Not as pretty but it will work.

I picked up that M1c that was a good deal at 67 and i picked up the Tekin as well.
I'm trying to figure out how the old barrel type resistor heat sinks were used. They seem to come in 2 threaded pieces. Can somebody show or explain please?
Thank you!
I did a quick search and a lot of people have asked about these on and off over the past few years, as a result of using brushed motors with Lipo power.
I was actually searching for info on the other larger ones which kind of wedged in the centre...

Next is my 1X ESC which was the top of Novak’s...

I had no problems swapping my NES1A from JR to G, it's fiddly, but with a good iron, steady hand, good light and magnification not a big deal.
I'm working on a Gulf Racing schemed RC10L and wanted to put modern Novak electronics in it (brushless & Lipo), BUT I was thinking an orange receiver would look sweet. Is there any difference in a vintage FM receiver and a modern one?...

Damn, gulf oil theme colors, i had that idea too! But I have too many projects underway...
it's a good colour scheme, which car/buggy/truck are you planning on putting it on?
I got mine on a 10L, but think it would be cool on a buggy
I'm sure this topic has been touched upon several times on these forums...
I just bought a set of new vintage Novak decals. I should have a total of 4 different types of sheets. One from the Hammer, one from the 410-M5, and two others that have all...

This is about as good as I can get this one without some MAJOR time invested...this took about 1½ hours anyway to colorize. The orange was a real PITA...
This of course, is shrunk to comply with the size rules here, if anyone wants the full size 600...
I have a couple of Novak Digi Peak Plus chargers that Ive accumulated purely out of nostalgia's sake and also have some new old skool Sanyo Nicad's which i want to charge, store and care for in a proper manner.

Thanks heaps Mark. You have a wealth of knowledge on this stuff. Cheers-Jason
I picked these up last week to experiment with. They didn't really cost much at all and they work
I can program the Cyclone with my own custom parameters or use one of the 20 saved Novak sets to use as profile 4 on the Cyclone. Too bad I...

I'm a Mac guy in all honesty, but yes I do. I found it in the garbage and put XP on it  I use it mainly for the old school Toyota Electronic Parts Catalog Software...
