K-Factory Nitro TC3 Build
So I've collected this big pile of parts and now I need to put them all together. Its a build of mainly new parts including a whole lot of trick K-Factory upgrades, the only problem is I haven't got a chassis. For the moment I'm going to steal one from my Factory Team NTC3 because I'm itching to get on with this build... just don't look too close, its kinda been used

Re: K-Factory Nitro TC3 Build
OK, so now we run into problem number 1 - old nitro and a lack of use means these are going nowhere fast.
But thats OK - I have a solution in a little Blue bottle!
And now we're ready to start building again.

Re: K-Factory Nitro TC3 Build
The K-Factory steering installed perfectly, but the alloy suspension mounts are a little different to the stock items. I checked the hardened pins and they are exactly the same measurements as the stock part, so it looks like the holes in the mounts are not deep enough. I'm not that keen to drill them out, so I'm thinking the solution to this is to cut the pivot pins down so it will all fit together. For the front I'll also have to insert spacers to keep the wishbones located properly, but it means I can adjust the wheelbase a little if needed.
Thats looking a bit better now.
Option parts used so far
Factory Team:
- Hard anodised chassis - one lady owner!
- Swing rack bearing kit
- Carbon front arm set
- Carbon rear arm set
K-Factory:
- Hard coated Alum. swing rack set
- Super hardened lower hinge pins
- Light Alum. front lower bumper and arm mount (F)
- Light Alum. front arm mount (R)
- Light Alum. rear arm mount (F)
- Light Alum. rear arm mount (R)
- Alum. front roll bar mounts

Re: K-Factory Nitro TC3 Build
Nice build. Any particular reason for the Ver. 1 rear suspension vs the Ver. 2?

Re: K-Factory Nitro TC3 Build
Hey thanks for your comment RS Chris, to be honest the only reason it has Ver. 1 rear is because I only have a K-Factory option in ver. 1.
it's all about the option parts in this build

Re: K-Factory Nitro TC3 Build
This is a very impressive build. Those K-Factory parts are very nice pieces. I hope you get this one completed and updated. Thanks!
I have my OG NTC3 that I am thinking may need a rebuild.

Re: K-Factory Nitro TC3 Build
I did a bit of a shuffle with the shocks - they are now in a collection of parts called "Factory Team TC3" which will one day find its way here.
These are V2 shocks with the later version of unobtanium coated shafts that are gold instead of grey.

Re: K-Factory Nitro TC3 Build
So this is kind of where I'm at so far - I've built the K-factory 2speed and installed it on my motor. added a couple of servos and made up the steering links with some Lunsford titanium turnbuckles.

Re: K-Factory Nitro TC3 Build
Shocks look great but I think the blue shock bodies popped more on the chassis.................Either way badass build bud.
