Re: Another 93 works
The best way to clean those copper coloured springs is with steal wool the kind that looks like the stuff you scrub dishes with and you just fold it around the spring and turn the spring inside it if that makes sense? Anyway they will be shiny in about 20 seconds

We’ll all be damned. Was so worried about the finish being too thin. Should have known from all my time car detailing! Thx Pedro!pedro wrote: ↑Fri Oct 25, 2019 7:22 pm The best way to clean those copper coloured springs is with steal wool the kind that looks like the stuff you scrub dishes with and you just fold it around the spring and turn the spring inside it if that makes sense? Looks great Mike.
I keep looking at the pics and can't quite figure out what those extra pair of turn buckles attached to the front c-hubs do. Is this a factory setup or an aftermarket go-fast part?

Re: Yokomo works 93
Doug,
those extra links are installed as a factory upgrade. when the car was first designed and tested, they noticed quite a bit of flex in the c-hub and front arms. So they added the extra brace and link to improve the front end stiffness.
later models have improved materials and design to prevent the flexing.

Ah, I understand.jwscab wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2019 11:41 am Doug,

So the normal camber links combined with those added turnbuckles form a kind of upper A-arm.
Interesting solution!
Thanks Joe.

Re: Yokomo works 93
Should have some rebuild updates on this one soon. I'm just waiting to get my stock arms back from my buddy who is machining some nylon arms for a runner build.
