Vintage Schumacher 12V peak charger
I've been looking for one of these for a long time having used one for racing during the 80's. I believe these were released in late 86 or early 87 and during my search had been unable to come across anything online, not even a picture.
Well, a couple of weeks ago I spotted this among a job lot of parts and instantly recognised it, so managed to buy it from the seller.
It's A Schumacher PC1 peak charger. The red & black wires should have crocodile clips to connect to a car battery instead of the plug but everything else is as it should be & also have the instruction sheet.

Re: Vintage Schumacher 12V peak charger
Those where great chargers. A friend of mine had one, and it never gave him any trouble.
My Laser must of blown the power transistor at least 3 times and lets not even talk about the cooked cells because I forgot to put the thermistor in the pack!

Yeah, a couple of friends had these too and it served me all the while I was racing. I think I got this when I bought my schumacher cat but I can't for life of me remember what I had before this? I must have used another 12v charger when I had my Bobcat & RC10 but what it was I have no idea, maybe some cheap acoms jobbie.
Those were the days lugging a car battery around

I remember cycling two roads back to my mates house, balancing the car battery (in its square bucket) on the cross bar, with the huge blue Beaties bag over my shoulder. I don't know how I didn't kill myself!

Yeah, I used to carry my car battery on the bus, can't imagine that now
