Freebie Optima mid rebuild.

So as in my introduction I recently acquired this Optima mid mostly complete and appearing in running order but in need of a lot of tlc. It's an exciting little project for my first trip back into the RC world after about 20 years away ...
The shocks look very worn with a lot of wear to the internal bores and pitting to the shafts, I'm going to clean them up and reassemble them with fresh oil and see how they do but I'm suspecting I'll need new shocks.
The chassis is again very worn, the top plate was cut down to half its length. New top plate and chassis have been ordered!
New bearings and full stainless screw set on the way to try and bolt it back together properly...

As the strip down continues the front gearbox looks like it's taken a real knock at some point, one of the lower arm mountings is cracked and twisted, several screw holes on the front and rear gearboxes look like they've been chewed out by bigger screws...
I'm not sure if theres going to be much left of the original buggy at this rate...
