I have something similar in my spare part collection, only that the dog bone part in screwed in directly ext to the joint. The other side ends in a metric axle.
I will post a pic later.
Wouldn't this pretty much solve all of the CVD / CVA problems with the WOIN builds with Klein / RPM wide arms?
I like my version better, but still a bit off the usual path.

I am lucky enough to also have some kyosho style hex adapters, I have never used this kind, they are conical and lock by being wedged onto the shaft. I am wondering if they are going to be up to the higher torque of the modern brushless motors.
I believe your best bet is to use original shafte an the cut the ball and joint off and use this top part.
thank you

Has anyone on the forum here tried this or any other universal from AliExpress yet? It would definitely mean going metric on the rear hubs, unless you just use that top part.
Somehow I have the feeling it hasn't been done yet.

Anyone use a AE part with the Klein arms? I just saw this thread while figuring out what cvd's (if any) will work to finish a conversion.
How about event a measurement of how long the axles should be?
Anybody no if the universal shafts for the re-re optima will work on an Optima mid?

The modern stuff is pinned vs the taper, but on the ultima for example both vintage and modern axles fit just perfectly in our trailing arms so I doubt there is much dimensional difference
Hello everybody! Does anyone know if there is a source for 879c driveshafts or something adaptable?
What would be the part number, for fronts and rears?
Thanks in advance!

Also just found some great info on the inner-webs. Sounds like CVDs from the Kyosho ZX5 are a decent fit. Kyosho part number LA245.
There's also relevant info on Kyosho CVD options here:
I have been working on a kyosho rocky it started out to be just a rocky I have turned it into a turbo rocky but I can't find any gold drive shafts for it are they that rare or just in high demand I saw a set on ebay before I got the rocky so if...

Once you have enough posts you can ask in the Buy/Sell/Trade section if anyone has a set. Until then, eBay will be your best bet. They turn up now again. I don't know if I'd consider them rare or in high demand. I think the last NIB pair I saw went...

Yes. The blue Eagle LS and Rustler share the same part numbers for the outdrives, driveshafts, and stub axles. Rear arms are the same length between the two as well.
RC10 3/16 convert driveshafts are they still avaliable ??? I bought a new set here a long time a go and now when im assembled them one of them is binding i have tried to free it up but i guess its a monday copy.
