Was anyone into Mini Z's back in the day so to say? I remember racing all hours of the night many a night. We got pretty good to the point where one crash into the barrier would cost you the race. Anyone who has raced mod Mini Z on an RCP track knows just how "narrow" it is....... for 5 minutes
Of course Mini Z's have become much better since the original design and I think would have been tons better, by that stage I think the Mini Z craze had died down, which is a shame because they were great little cars.
Here's mine as it was..... good times and good memories.....
Anyone else?
I'm betting no

Re: Was anyone else into Mini Z's?
I got a used Porsche M03 Mini-Z from my LHS before it was gone. The steering was always screwed up and wouldn't always return to center. I just replaced the steering potentiometer and servo motor this weekend and it now drives like a dream. Man what a PITA to work on stuff that's so small. I had to break out my Opti-Visor to inspect my solder joints. My local track had plans to race them and we even set up a track. But for one reason or another, it just never took off. But the cars are fun! I also have a Rage RC Mini-Q and a pile of parts to build a Dynamite Rocket Racer for some competition.

Non centering servo would be a pain especially on such a small car.
The offroad versions were pretty fun too....

Re: Was anyone else into Mini Z's?
I have a few. I'd get more, but the prices are usually kinda high. Our new basement is much bigger than the old one, so I'd like to set up a nice flat oval eventually. The mini Z's are just the right size. (and the Losi 1/24 vehicles we've got)
