Electronics all buttoned up, the wiring doesn’t look too bad I think. I can't wait to get the body mounted and painted.

This has been a fun project so far....

I just hope it's not too fast or powerful, it was supposed to be as powerful and as fast as a silver can :? :?

Motor....... something a bit different. On paper it's perfect (same as 21.5t) but the real world Tennis Court Grand Prix will tell.

Any time the wheels turn the motor turns as well.

Motor cable routing looks perfect for that small rear pod. Project looks great!

Very cool motor choice for a vintage RC!
Reminds me of those multi-cylinder radial engines on pre WWII war planes. The prop was attached directly to the engine case and everything spun around the crank shaft which was fixed to the bulkhead.

Thanks, motor cable routing is good, cables are probably a little bigger than I would have liked. Full size saddle pack batteries are borderline due to their height and such a small car.

Those were cool engines! I think this motor is a pretty cool choice if it works great. For a modern motor it still has a vintage feel about it, and I like the fact the black and gold sort of fits in with the Futaba gear.

It also sort of reminds me of a slot car where you can see the armature spinning when you spin the wheels.

Nice car!! 8) Is it a drone motor? What kind of batteries do you use?
Did you have time to try it on the tennis court?

(sorry, that's a lot of questions. )

Yes it is the holmes hobbies revolver which is an outrunner motor. I'd say more like an airplane motor but still very similar to a drone motor.

I think the 2500kv is too much and feel the 1900 would have been a better choice. I haven't actually driven it yet but it "feels" too quick in my hands.

The battery situation is unknown at this stage, I would love to find Li-ion or LiFe cells in a sub C ish size, which may never happen since others would be doing it if it was an option.
