When it's R/C related, but doesn't fit anyplace else.

That is where the new TBLE-04S comes in, replacing the 02.
Agreed! I just thought it was odd that Tamiya would include compatibility for sensored brushless motors but no LiPo cutoff. I recently bought a Buggyra Fat Fox truck to run at a local club and Tamiya spec class rules do not allow for ESC upgrades.

So in order to run LiPo, I had to shoe horn a LiPo voltage checker into the truck.

Likewise, I find it odd that Yokomo would include a brushed motor with a non-brushless compatible ESC, but support LiPo batteries. If Yokomo is entering the RTR market to attract new people to the hobby, hamstringing them to a brushed motor is kinda silly IMHO

Its probably because the Yokomo chassis doesn't fit NIMH packs, whereas most Tamiya chassis only fit them or packs designed to mimic them.

Now I want one. It has the right look for a vintage car.

Well, I said that I wanted one. Just got all this on ebay, should be here in a few days.

I thought it was interesting that Yokomo is selling 1400 mah nicd (not nimh).

Thats pretty cool. I honsetly miss nimh batteries sometimes. No worrying about puffing or explosions. I wouldn't mind if they came back. I hope eventually they discover a new battery technology that has the run time and out put of lipo, but without the dangers and easier to handle when charging/transporting like nickel batteries.
