Quick Thread - Correcting A Mistake 95 to 97 Yokomo

Post by Toaster »

Have you ever receive a purchase and wondered what the heck some of the parts were, removed and sold them and then figured it out a while later? Lol

So I was building a 95 Pavidis essentially out of two project cars in this thread https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=45663&start=15

There were shock towers and a top chassis brace that seemed after market on a 95 and I promptly removed them and sold them as “I don’t know, aftermarket perhaps?” And of course about a month ago had a “DUH” moment and figured it all out.

So here is the car in its currently sits:

I come for the RC10's but stay for the Yokomo's :P

1994 Yokomo Box-Art

I realize the 94 shock towers and battery brace etc. were incorrect and were thrown on due to a lack of 95 parts but once I realized I had inadvertently backdated a 97 I went about trying to correct my mistake.

Found this L&L Models post to eBay and made a purchase but they have a website www.Landmodels.co.uk

Still plenty to do in terms of sourcing correct screws for some of the year mounts, shock for top chassis brace and correct front shocks (wrong length) and will continue to update here as I can:

Nope. I just waste money buying stuff. I never try to recover any of it.
Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.
