Their surprise shipping setup has always been one of the biggest complaints. I touched upon it in a post here: https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?p=523143#p523143

I haven't placed an order with them in quite a while so I don't know if anything's changed. What they charged me was always pretty reasonable. Something seems wrong if you were charged $65 on a $9 purchase.

I'd contact them to inquire about it.

Yes, their shipping is quite stupid, and your location probably compounded it.

But their shipping is the primary reason that I avoid them (and Rock Auto).

Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.

Went the cheap route with a Flysky radio. Steering servo glitches at 150' away. Was told I needed an external BEC. Running the blitz with a sidewinder sct combo and Futaba high speed servo. Any help is appreciated.

I don't have any pic's. Castle has the wiring diagram on their site. I went a differant route. I purchased an adaptor from creation fab that allows the external bec to power the servo. The speed control bec will power the RX. Simply solder to power...

Alternate thread title......How far into my finger can I shove a metal pick?

So I'm learning to clean bearings. Managed to get the clip out of one side of a metal sealed bearing, but can't seem to get the other. Having visions of shoving an exacto...

I would agree about not removing side shields to clean bearings. If a bearing is crunchy, it needs to be replaced anyway. For the light cleaning that most brgs need, the above suggestion is the way to go.

Does anyone know the size of the retaining clips for the original gold shocks? I'm trying to order some from McMaster-Carr.

The snap rings from the Traxxas 2362 rebuild kit fit.

Several of the plastics can be used as well, if you ream the ID from 3mm to 1/8 . The bottom cover is particularly useful, as the originals tend to get damaged.

I have always run o rings but in my high speed GT2 I installed springs to remove any slop in the bones back in 2017. CVD pins will not hold over 80mph even with super glue red loctite, and a heat shrink boot. The pins leave the bone and cut the rear...

The SG or Tag Coyote had little springs in the diff out drives , possibly others , only disadvantage I can think of is they drop out during servicing and O rings tend to stay in .

The springs I seem to find fit in the RC10 3/16 Outdrives only...

I have to admit i have not raced ball diffs in onroad for quite a while now, as my main class is EP TC and thank god we have gear diffs now and cars that are designed around them ;)...
