Associated RC10 Modified Battery Tray

Post by splaice »

The fitment of the factory battery tray was right against the servo posts and the height of it would interfere with the connector cables for my hardcase lipo battery packs. I redesigned a tray that has a lower height to avoid the battery pack cables, put a relief in it to allow plenty for clearance between it and the servo posts, and also put a relief in the bottom to allow the use of a velcro strap to hold the battery and in my case allow for routing of the ESC connection to the receiver below the the battery pack.

I haven't tested the durability of it much but it feels pretty robust with it printed using carbon infused PLA filament. Probably better to use carbon infused nylon but I didn't have any dry nylon filament to print with at the time.

This is a work in progress but I can share the stl if anyone wants it.
