I'm replacing the bushings on my 6 gear runner with bearings but I don't have the allen wrench to work out those tiny screws in the idler gears. The original manual doesn't indicate the size of the wrench. Anyone know?
Definitely smaller than .050 I've tried those. I can't find the little bastard at my LHS or hardware store. Funny I studied the old manual all day at work (ha, ha) so the rebuild would go smoothly but as they say no battle plan survives contact with the enemy!
I think that the wrench comes with the idler gear set. f you have it apart to replace the bushings, put a fresh set of gears in there too. It will make you feel a little better about spending $5 for an allen key

A part number for that set would be most appreciated, Sir.
This is sort of a branch off from the Mini Jrx2 thread. Jeff pointed me to some Traxxas Hawk cad files and being as the hawk was my first performance RC I have been considering making a mini version of it as I have been designing all these parts for...

When I install my battery pack, the wires have to make an immediate 90 degree bend upwards and rub hard on the steering servo. There isn't enough room so the wires can come out at a better angle. Is there something I can do to correct this?

This is always a source of frustration for me. Then i look at all these fantastic builds here and it looks like the servos are right where my wires would go. :(
I have a duratrax 3000mah battery and this seems shorter then the 3800mah batteries I...
People are bugging me today, so decided to pull one of my 1/10 MT's off the shelf and do a little work on it today to relax. Last time I ran it it was making a bit of an odd sound from the rear axle. It's a Clod axle truck with metal spur gear and...

Tamiya alloy pinion?
They're known to do that.
I honestly can't recall what brand it was. I picked up a pair of them for this truck (dual motors) when I built it about 3-4 yrs ago and memory isn't as good as it used to be.
I have a small problem with my computer. Earlier today I noticed that the click sound went away while I was web surfing. I found out how to turn the click sound back on, but now i notice a very annoying delay of 5-10 seconds while clicking around...

Since it's only affecting your profile, there might be spyware. It could be tracking what sites you're visiting, hence the delays when clicking. I find that Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is particularly effective at getting rid of low-level malware, and...
Hi, I bought a used DS and noticed the steering wasn't turning fully left or right. I went online for the Manual and noticed the steering blocks were installed backwards. The blocks were slant to the back. So I built the blocks per instructions and...

i would assume it has the wrong castor blocks in it. you can really only use 30 degree castor blocks...... unless you want more than 8 degrees of castor, which i assume is what the previous owner was after. he just didn't notch the block out to get...

There are plastic spacers available from nearly every manufacturer. Just make sure they have a 1/8th in. inside diameter (to fit over the shock shaft). Most of the manufacturers use something in the 1/8th x 1/4 x 1/4 inch thick range. Any thinner,...
