For those whom say I don't run anything.............

Post by mrlexan »

OK, this is for you guys whom say I don't run anything or have anything in my collection that does run. Yes, we have one.... a Tamiya New Beetle dressed up to look like the 2000 Beetle Cup Spec car or RSi (Anthony should be so proud! ). Just some fun with the pups in the parking lot, they love to chase it. Bailey barks constantly and Shelby just whimpers and chases it.

I have to say that's a pretty lazy way to give the dogs some exercise.

Trust me those two don't need any more exercise. One of them runs with me, usually do about 2.5 miles or so, but he has done 6.0 miles before. The other isn't much of a runner. A few weeks back we took them on a 3 day hiking trip, we had to cut it short a day because their paws got so raw, they were bleeding. The most challenging part was a 50 foot drop down to the base of a water fall. It was a very interesting descent/ascent and I had to pick them up on two spots that were about 5 to 6 feet of a vertical drop. Picking up a 85 lb dog is never fun. They are very capable dogs and they get out a lot.

So what you're saying is you still don't have anything to run.

Is that an M03 under there?

You can't find a much more fun combination than a dog, or dogs and an R/C car. One of my favorite r/c memories was chasing dogs around the playground bitd with my Fox. I still do it on the rare occasion that I'm out in the park and a dog happens to come around. I used to chase dogs around for a few minutes, then stop my car so the dog would come up and have a closer look, sniff it and try to figure out what it was, then smash the throttle and take off under their legs and watch them totally freak out all over again. I did the same kind of thing indoors with my girlfriend's cat until it died with my Losi micro cars. With that loose antenna, I think the cat thought it was some freaky kind of mouse.

Too funny! Had a good laugh here.
I have a bengal cat that'll stalk any RC car like prey...He's never caught one (my doing) and he's slightly cagey around my XX-4...I would be too, that car RUNS.

Tamiya forum?
I haven't owned a Tamiya since I was 15...17 years ago!
I just bought an M-01 Mini, but I really just want to watch it detonate with a Mamba Max in it.

I must admit, a Losi micro-t + a borrowed terrier for a week + a tiled floor = endless amusement, she was convinced it was a mouse I think, and the instincts took over, but she couldn't chase on a slippery floor, woe betide me if she caught it on carpet though, how much are front tyres anyway
