I don't even know what to call it!!!
This is my Ultima10 Mid Graphite Trailing Arm Worlds car! How's that?
Like I said in another post, Im not sure I care for the direction this one is going.
Here is what it is so far: Duratrax Ultima graphite chassis, A&L trailing arm kit for???, it was sold as for the rc10 but it doesn't seem to fit any well. Its really wide. anyone know what its for? Mid mounted stealth tranny that I needed to drill holes for, Unknown modded graphite upper deck, RPM Worlds front arms (I have the complete worlds front) Modded AE front arm mounts, AE front shock tower, Custom rear shock mount made from an AE battery brace (B4?) Custom delrin rear bulkhead, and AE battery cup. I think thats it! Its just mocked up for now. What ya think? Should I keep going? LOL!
As you can see, its about 1/2" wider per side and I think thats what I don't like about it. I can't really narrow it up, the arms would hit the motor. The A&L kit is un altered. What car would have had a rear end this wide?
Comments? Suggestions?
Edited to add, Once Im happy with the final design I will fix the tore out areas by the holes I drilled using the same method as I used for the other holes. Maybe some of the other unused holes too.

I'd keep the width and make a truck.
It looks good to me!
Hmmm.... "Ultimaten T"?

I like it! The upper deck looks like a traxxas Blue Eagle LS2 piece, those are pretty hard to come by. And yes I'm a wealth of useless vintage Traxxas knowledge

did A&L make a trailing arm kit for the trx1? I know that chassis is fairly narrow. Maybe that is what the arm plates are for.

I think you are both correct. I bought a few Traxxas chassis a while ago so thats a strong possibility for the upper deck and the trans brace/rear shock tower is a battery brace from a b4/t4 cut down.

Found it! It's not and LS2 part, it's a composite Craft upper deck for their TRX1 chassis kit

sorry mark, when i quoted your post, i was thinking of the trans brace...... not the chassis brace.markt311 wrote:The shock mount/tranny brace looks like a B4 battery strapscr8p wrote:i was thinking it was a b4 or t4 battery brace.markt311 wrote:The upper deck looks like a traxxas Blue Eagle LS2 piece

Re: I don't even know what to call it!!!
Hey fastang I like it, I think it looks like a conversion kit and I am curious how it would run. I actually like it wider like you have it or tru different axels and spacers to use B4 wheels to see if they would clear the arms. I would work on making the front as wide as the rear with maybe some B4/T4 front carriers and long axels or using some longer arms like the Traxxas bandit or TRX1.
I say, now that you have transformed a mint upper deck for a TRX1 you need to finish this car up.
I want to see the roller finish. looks cool.
what did you use to fill in the old holes?

Re: I don't even know what to call it!!!
I think you did a superb job on this.
If wheels with less offset don't solve the width issue ( I gues they'd interfere with the arm?), maybe you can make new support plates to move the arms further in and a little backwards to clear the moter.
2 thumbs up
