Thanks guys.

Kenooze was over today and had a closer at it.
I explained him how it didn't behave so well, and he gave me some tips to improve the handling.

I hope I can use his tips to turn this little one into a fun car for the 'standard' type class I'm racing here.

Cute, love the look of that. Interesting packaging with the servo location, I bet it's a pain to change the pinion though! What wishbones have you used, they don't look like any mini arms I know of?

I guess Kenooze will be there for the worlds?

Yep, the world championships is what got Kenooze and his buddy overhere.
We went to vist Kyoto yesterday.
He should be posting a link to his blog soon.

Changing the pinion, spur and moter is a little cumbersome indeed, but not terribly. I wanted the servo there to balce the weight of the moter.
Anyway: this competition has a spec moter of 30 turns and minimum final ratio of 6:1. So except for maintenance there should not be much reason to change gears or the moter and I probably won't have to do it at the track.

The arms are shortened Kyosho TF1 units with the ultima axle carriers for the rear.

Unfortunately one of the reasons for the shady behaviour is the body shape. so the porsche may be just for display in the future. But I'll the other tips before I give up on this body

Really nice build mate. What are the problems associated with this body shell?

In your next project can you post some in work in progress build pictures because I don't know the cars you are referring to in your custom builds. I'm just trying to steal your secrets

This car's long gone: taken apart to build other stuff.
I got my eyes on the new HPI M-chassis. Sofar I've only seen cad renderings yet, but wow, so cool. Should handle a lot easier with the FWD too.
Hopefully things have changed in belgium and M-chassis are no longer a tamiya-event-only thing
