Mine is right out of the box, other than shock spacers to tighen it up to keep it from body rolling over on the Tires.

Re: How do you guys have your slash setup?
Jesse, what conditions are you running in? On a track, in your yard?
I have bashed/raced box stock and modified, and to be honest, there is not much difference (on the track).
For the record (if it helps):
Front:
Traxxas Big Bore Shocks, stock piston, stock spring, 50 wt Associated oil, no clips. Outside on arm.
Rear:
Traxxas Big Bore Shocks, stock piston, stock spring, 40 wt Associated oil, stock clip. Stock postions (as out of the box)
Battery to the rear (lipo), no weight added. Rear body mount in highest position (stops the tires from rubbing the body when landing big jumps). -2 camber all around.
Novak Cyclone Speedo, B&R motor (19T single, 550 can), stock gearing (18/86).
Great accelleration, just a touch more top end than the stock Titan motor. On a 80 foot straight, I can pull a foot or 2 ahead of a stock truck.

Move all your shock bottoms out one hole, go to thicker oil in all the shocks. Start there.

Re: How do you guys have your slash setup?
Just as i got my slash set up for me i broke the front shock tower and both shock caps
Re: How do you guys have your slash setup?
Go ahead and either replace the shocks or at minimum install the aluminum shock caps.
