ANY MR4-BX OWNERS HERE?

I just replaced my much lamented XX-4 with an MR4-BX.
I was going to go B44,but the BX came up at a really good price so I went for it.I never even looked at what 4 wheelers Yokomo offered.
I saw the car that the MR4-BX replaced-BC?-And really didn't like the look of it.
Anything to watch out for with these suckers?
I'll be running my Mamba Max 5700kv system in it.
Totally stole the car for what I paid for it...Got the car,two bodies,a new spare chassis,lots of new in packet parts,a Tekin G12 ESC,three sets of wheels/tires,a new IB 3700 battery a new 15x2 motor...All for US$100!

Here she is,I'll be picking it up on Wednesday.
Good to know that the wheels and tires from my XX4 will fit,too

I ran one for almost 2 years. They're generally bomb-proof (strongest 4WD I've ever raced), only weak points are front & rear shock towers, but if racing on dirt they should be fine. To run XX4 rear wheels you need to bin the Yokomo alloy hex adapters & insert a Losi wheel axle roll pin. The fronts will fit straight on no problem.

Worst point: You'll be rebuilding the rear diff twice a month because it's very exposed to dirt, + the Yokomo diff washers & balls aren't made of the hardest material.

Should work well on dirt & low to medium grip tracks. Wasn't popular in the UK on high grip tracks because it's hard to set up, but seems to be a personal thing - some racers get on with it fine. You got it for a bargain price!

I will be running it on a dirt track. IFMAR Pins and Step Pins are the go,there.
It comes with a spare set of new shock towers,so I might as well double 'em up.
Picking it up tomorrow night...

I love it!
I honestly can't fault it,maybe the lack of CVD's,but that's easily remidied.
It drives SO nice,lots of steering both on and off power.
The handling is sublime.
The quality of the car is right up there with the best.
One very happy Yokomo owner,here!

The red/gold/black body is quite different to the red one...More subdued.Looks real nice.
I'll take some photos over the weekend.

Cool, glad you get on with it. I did the opposite of you, changed from the MR4-BX to first a XX4 and then an X-5 conversion, and I have to say I miss the BX's steering, it always had loads. I have to run a one way diff in the Losi cars to get any steering at all

Yeah,I was thinking of doing an X-5 conversion,seeing as I have an X-6 and all,but with the poor exchange rate,it was just too expensive.
I rebuilt the diffs,tweaked a few things and took some photos...Please excuse the front right spring that isn't seated properly

Looks good, that's a neat brushless install in a chassis that's difficult to keep tidy. Can you access the motor pinion? I had difficulty changing pinion with my brushed ESC there.

Untidy wiring is one of my sore points,I try to really plot it out first.
The Mamba sists in there nice,after a few tries.It is a tight chassis,that's for sure.
I can indeed access my pinion with the Castle brushless motor in there,they have a longer shaft than most brushed motors.
Maybe try installing your pinion gear backwards?
I'm usually forced to on brushed XX era Losi vehicles.
