Yeah, I hope so too.....I'm not looking for mint, just something that looks better than the mix-matched I got now....
Ok I'm at my wits end with this and I would like any help. I missed the boat when they were making tires and rims for the RC10 a few years back. I know there are rims still being made by JConcepts but tires are the bane of my existence. I'm willing...

I did dye the wheels for the Houge before I painted them.
Totally forgot about that until just now
They took dye as well as any other nylon I have done.

Thanks Chuck, that’s good to know. I could order a few sets in white then dye...

didn't realize they only had yellows for fronts. Might wanna check a little deeper into that one since I've had complete sets of front's and rears in white and in yellow. The quick change rears are for like the gt2 for sure that had the quick change...
Looking at rebuilding my first RC10. It seems most are running a modern wheel tire upgrade but I prefer to use the original size rims for bashing. Does anyone know of or use an AVAILABLE tire set-up that would also look decent on the shelf?

Scorpion/tomahawk tires may fit the three piece rims but the compound might be too soft for the tire beads to stay clamped.
I have a very nice set of JRX2 tires that are glued to the rims. I want to remove the tires from the rims but not destroy the rubber in the process. Any suggestions?

i am rebuilding my optima mid and was looking for some asphalt tires for screaming around my neighborhood. I found these that fit perfectly. just about the same dimensions as the original tires. They are for a hpi WR8. most 1/10 scale street tires...
I have been reading around the forums and I have a few questions about getting newer rims and tires on my old RC10. I am assuming that if I can't find the original rims and tires for my buggy, do I have to convert the rear axles to 3/16 to put new...
My RC10 Gold pan restore project is going well. I thought that I had a set of tires to use but they do not fit. I have the three piece rims both front and back. What modern day tires can I use with these rims?
Thanks,

Go with some tamiya subaru brat tires in the back. They are 1.6in and fit perfectly. With its re-release, they are easy to find and have the best tread pattern for both street and dirt use. The only thing is that you have to trim out the two...
