This might be biting off more than I can chew, but based on my latest post in the BST Forum I figured I would open it up for Associated (or non) requests for custom FRP parts. Maybe a million dollar RPM rear shock tower (huhn Hoopty????)????
I will take them all seriously and we'll see what happens. Thanks guys!
I need an A&L Chassis brace first. I found someone has a bunch of them, but I can't get him to focus on following through with selling me a couple. Anyone have one?

RPM worlds rear towers?
And front towers too? They are just 10T towers, right? But I have seen them without the hole for the nose tubes. I am a bit confused on that part.

the rpm front worlds towers are similar to the 10t but not the same. the buggy towers are a bit wider between where the shocks mount as well as a couple other design differences. the versions without the nose brace tube holes were intended for the rpm ultra molded chassis, which doesnt use nose brace tubes.
Just wondering how many different frp chassis were available for the ta01 cars? I know of 3. Theres RW racing, HPI, and of course Tamiya. Any others? Pretty sure tek racing made an alloy chassis, may have been frp, not sure. Anybody else?

Yeah, I remember those! Oh boy, a rip snortin nitro engine bullying that draggy drive train into submission!
After seeing all the old is new buggies on here I was inspired (compelled) to build one of my own. Almost the entire car is made from NIP parts. I used Stainless hardware just about everywhere. I wanted my car to be a little different from everyone...

It did once; long time ago, but now I use a long sleeve shirt, jeans, eye protection and a mask.
I was wondering if i was to 3D print a-arms for an RC10, which plastic would be the best? I mostly use PLA but I dont know if that would be strong enough. I was thinking Nylon or ABS but I haven't experimented with that. I was going to test the...

Depends a lot on the printer. I have 5, and they are set up for different materials.
Hands down the strongest material I use is NylonX (carbon infused) and NylonG (fiberglass infused). To print that, you need an enclosure and hardened nozzle. I...
I remember years ago I saw a Hotshot modification using 2 pieces of FRP. One on the left and one on the right of the gearbox and altogether get rid of the tub.
There was drawing of the mod on some websites, may be the tamiyaclub??
Anyone has...

Would you mind to share an accurate scan of the chassis?? :)
I have an old Green FRP chassis , it was painted by the previous owner. Is there any safe way to strip off the paint without weakening the strength of the FRP & creating scratches ?
Tks for your words of wisdom.

i spent some time talking to chad at dynotech yesterday about making some of the discontiued parts for the rc10. i was going to send some stuff to him so he can get an idea of what it would take to produce them, and to get an idea of what the street...

Nah you could use the standard motor plate modified. The B3 plate would require the same mods as the stealth one aswell as having to sort out where it attaches to the chassis at the back so it'd be harder. I think the idea is to use the standard...
