Re: My sassy Hot Shot
Interesting setup. What body is that? Baldre? That's Tamiya Rose paint, right? I always liked the Frog paint job even tho it was pink!!
The only issue that may be raised at the Nats is the RS4 arms. They have a date cutoff and I would think those would have come later. The rest of your gear seems period-appropriate.
I'm not the enforcer, so dunno for sure!

B44 buggy body
Tamy pink paint. I don't mind it too much, looks cool.
Yea, the rs4 arms are from 96ish so I guess they would be frowned on..
I guess I could make a set out of plastic and that would be ok as there is no time limit on diy?
Thanks

Re: My sassy Hot Shot
j.d.- Don't take my word for it. I'm sure if the VONats are happening this year that this forum will be buzzing with info well before the event. You can ask the officials that question. To me with 99% of your buggy vintage I wouldn't mind, but then you get into the whole discussion of what bits are allowed to be newer, etc. I think we were supposed to use modern tires & electronics, but there were people who had modern shocks last year. It's supposed to be a fun event to get the old buggys out.j.d.roost wrote:Yea, the rs4 arms are from 96ish so I guess they would be frowned on.

Re: My sassy Hot Shot
Not that I know of. I found it at an old hobby shop in northern N.J.
Picked it up for $10.00
Wish I could just let it sit on the shelf but I am tired of all these bits
collecting dust around the house. Guess that's the big vintage
racing conundrum. What makes you happy may p*ss off other folks.
Hopefully after it's messed up a bit I wont be kicking myself
I can take a few more pics if you want.
I have a few pre 91 rcca mags I can look through to see if I can find an ad.
If anyone has an idea on the front bumper let me know.
I need to protect the gearbox so it needs to cover the lower a arms.
Thanks

Re: My sassy Hot Shot
Update.
Hpi 5 star wheels. I cut down the fronts to run the narrow 4wd tires.
Found a nice traxxas bumper that fit with a bit of modding to the old bigwig bumper (yea I know another
non vintage part..It's just a bumper
