Guys for nexy yr the Venom vintage festival has made a few changes to the Hot Shot class. All will be running the whizzy silver 540 motor
You have to run oval block tires (Hot Shot) . No Grip tires not Supper Grippers.
No modified shocks ( That really hurts me LOL)
No mods really so in the interest to gain more people into the class.
So this leaves me to choose between my Boomerang, Super Shot, Hot Shot 2 & Big Wig.
I love the S/Shot and now have 2 for running but too choose the best chassis I feel the Hot Shot 2 is very good if not better than the S/Shot. You got to be joking I here over the seas. LOL. Well I have spent many hrs studying the suspension geometory of them all. I love doing this. The Hot Shot 2 uses a Boomer rear end with a slightly small rear shock tower.
The Boomer & Big Wig have a way better steering set up for no bump steer.
The Boomer is over 100g lighter then the other shots. The Fat Pig sorry Big Pig is the fattest but has the best suspension set up.
You can mix & match so maybe a Big Wig front set up on the Boomer. A Boomer Pig.
Anyone with experiance with these?. What would you do?
My Hot Shot 2 is looking like the choice just to be different.
Cheers

Re: Boomerang, Big Wig, Hot Shot, S/Shot, H/Shot 2, What to
what really lets the Boomy/HS2 down is the front mono that is (i) not dimensioned properly (hence not enough droop) and (ii) not served by a proper swaybar mount (hence it rocks more than it absorbs bumps). Fit a dual (SS) shock setup to either, break the transmission in at 3V for 24hrs and you have a car that will surprise most competitors
