Sorry to have dropped off the face of the earth! Got busy at work and then started playing with my 1:1 project. I actually found a like new Futaba AM receiver for $9.99 on e-Bay and my troubles are over now. I still appreciate the offer though.
It lives again! Just need to get my butt in gear and finish her off. Cool to see the old six gear running smooth. Time to order some paint supplies and get back to it.
Thanks, I might disappear for a while but I'll always come back. The big pile of parts that comes falling out of my closet when I open the door also serves as a reminder.
Conversions like these are one of the reasons the RC10 was, and is, so great. Way back in the late 80's and early 90's we used to convert regular RC10's into street racers, trucks, you name it.....the results always turned out well.

Good to hear the new rx solved the problem. AM tx/rx suits my needs as well - provided they work
Thanks, if only I could figure out the paint job for the body. I've yet to be satisfied with any of the ideas I've come up with. Might need to hire someone.
Started this one a few months ago. Had a Caddy is pretty good shape I wanted to build, just wasn't sure how. Decided to do a pre-10t truck conversion. Here's how it went...

Well, Andy's ofcourse:
Parma also still makes some of their old truckbodies I think
I wanted to build something a little different after picking up a well-used and poorly-dyed Lightz fiberglass oval conversion. This is the result after filling extra holes and damage, sanding and painting the chassis.
It's been a while since I built an RC10. So I figured it was finally time to open a NIP Lightz oval conversion I've had for many years.
There's nothing fancy on this one and I built it as more of a gearbox club racer.
Hi All
Have a few questions about a conversion kit I found.
It's an RCH oval conversion kit.
Anybody ever heard of it?
Anybody use one back in the day?
Any pics of one built?
I will ad a pic later of the kit I have.
Thanks
Mike
