Wasn't there a pattern for cutting the chassis as well? I am doing a similar project and could use it if anyone has it.

BTW, I could also use the trace of the top deck I asked you about in a previous post too!

Thank you much

Yes, I'll get up with you on the topdeck tracing in about a week, when I get back home

Hey, I forgot all about this, can you remind me via PM regarding the top deck tracing you needed--I can send it along with the spur--

and..........quick update--I am trying to get all RPM parts on this car (except for the battery cup) so I mounted a set of RPM rear truck posts to the top of the bellcranks (drilled & tapped for 8/32) which also solved the problem of a front body mount, which the bulkhead dosen't have-

Then I used the front RPM truck post in the rear , also I was going to put a set of Tecnacraft turnbuckles on this car, but
I put a RCPS on, and it just looks more manly!, so that will get changed as well--

I'd like to see pics of the Dremel router setup as well. I'm going to pick up their router table kit soon. Right now I just rough out parts with a large cutoff wheel and grinding down to get it close. Hopefully the router table setup will help get a little more precise.

Until I get around to building that CNC router.

Ok, here we go--got bored today--and I wanted to show the simple system I use for small parts-
1 reggies XXX worlds 004.jpg
1/8 rotozip tile bit ( a little longer than what I normally use) with and "e" clip on the tool surface to act as a bearing retainer, then 4 flanged pan car 1/8" x? bearings to use as a guide
1 reggies XXX worlds 005.jpg
scrawled the lines in the donor chassis for the part
1 reggies XXX worlds 006.jpg
after making some "plunge" holes
for the tool to drop into I run the cutting bit along the rip fence, in this case the short portion of a 4' t square, clamping the straight edge in place
1 reggies XXX worlds 007.jpg
the almost finished part, I still need to drum sand the inside radius portion of the part, as well as the outside corners to finish it.

Too bad once I got this far I decided that the fiberglass one looked better on the car!, oh well
