talking about this one?
http://cgi.ebay.com/Team-Associated-RC10-VINTAGE-Black-Worlds-Car-Chassis_W0QQitemZ250559629909QQcmdZViewItemQQptZRadio_Control_Parts_Accessories?hash=item3a56848a55

I saw that too when it was listed. thats why I'm curious about the value. cause if it's only worth what the header says... I'm gonna run it.

is a worlds car chassis rare? no. is a nip worlds chassis that is still in the original package 16-17 years later rare? yes.
So the package is what makes the differance... makes sense... even if the bag taped up and the header card is all torn?

That's the one--:D, pkg make a difference to some, but most come out of pkg for the photo anyway

i wasn't comparing a new worlds tub to a nip worlds tub. i was simply stating that a worlds tub is not rare. a brand new one is.

you also can't go by the $30.00 price tag on that tub on ebay because it was a BIN price. had it been listed for 7 days no BIN, no reserve, who knows what it would've fetched. it definately would've been quite a bit more than $30.00.

and since this has pretty much turned into a "what is this worth" thread, it will be going bye-bye shortly.

whops, wasn't trying to turn it into a what it's worth thread. Just trying to figure out what I should do with it.

I don't think it was Al--I think he might have seen it though  But if it was him, he would certainly deserve it, solely based on Karma

Somebody didn't know the value of what they had and listed it for $30 BIN. Somebody else was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time and scooped it up right after being listed. Now thats being used to put a price on what these are worth?

Why wouldn't they be considered rare? I mean they're not rare rare but they are uncommon when compared to the gold tubs and the regular black tubs. I know the term gets thrown around like nothing but there are different levels of rarity.

Since theres no production numbers of how many were made then its going to be merely a subjective subject. But I think its safe to say thats far fewer were made than the standard gold and black tubs.

HAha  It's just been a lucky week. you don't know how many times I asked this guy if he had ANY RC10 chassis only to hear him say no. Then I walk in today and it's hanging on the peg board next to a tc3 chassis!!!

well, that's kind of obvious, since the worlds car was only out for a year..... 2 years, but they sure made plenty of them. not to mention the ones that were sold separately (like the topic of this thread), and ones that came in the ds and truck kits. they are always for sale on ebay or on some r/c forum, and i'd guarantee 75% or more of the members on this forum that collect associated cars have atleast one. so, there's no way i will ever call them rare.

the graphite chassis that came in the last of the team car kits, that i would consider to be far more rare. but even those..... alot of people have one or more.
