No sticker, you made that hole on purpose for a custom cooling vent for the ESC - right

Got the car I was watching.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320557947439&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT

It looks rough in the pics but I am willing to bet it is in decent shape. Worst case it at least has the tranny I need plus a few other parts. Pics when it gets to the house.

Yeah the paint on the chassis doesn't scare me and will clean up very easily since I will have it reano'd. The I have another care here at the house that I would like to build stock but all the parts are garbege. This car will be a doner for two different builds.

I am glad you didn't bid, LOL.

Well I still haven't received the eBay buggy yet, tomorrow. Since I had the body already I decided to go ahead and throw some paint down. I am not a great painter but I get more satisfaction out of painting my own bodies. I think the paint turned out good and I really like how the colors went together. I am not real keen on the crazy paint jobs of today and I think this body will represent the car well when it is done.

I'm liking that paint job Jake! :D That's right up my alley as far as layout and colors go. I'm not too much of a fan of the wild, newer paint schemes either....
Great Job!! 8)

Jake,
Are you still in the AF? I'm at Kunsan now but moving to Aviano in Sep.

Nice job on the paint! It will look great on your build.

I got my doner today and I am happy with what I got. I ended up paying roughly $43 for the car to the house which is a deal in my mind. The chassis is striaght and has no extra holes. The motor plate is in good condition as well as the Stealth. Once I get rid of the bushings and rebuild the diff with new balls and bearings I will be set. The white plastic is in reayy good shape and with some cleaning, the parts will look nice. The parts from this car are actually going on two different builds, this one and another I have plans for. Now lets hope I can mill this chassis without putting a hole in it :?

Looks like a nice, straight pan to proceed with your project Jake! 8) What did you end up doing with the other chassis that the mill took a bite out of?

I still have it here at the house. I have not decided what I am going to do with it. I have some ideas which we talked about, but I am still undecided. I am going to let it sit for a while and take my time deciding what I want to do.

In fact, PM sent.

Well just when I was starting to think things were turning around the chassis gods halted my progress. The chassis from the donor car is complete garbage. I was unable to tell anything was wrong with the chassis until I stripped it. The tub is warped so bad it looks like two kids are playing on a seasaw in the playground when you set it on a level surface.

I am working on getting the black chassis repaired so it may come back to this project depending on how the welding goes. I also have another 10T coming which may have what I need. Oh well, the donor's tranny is in excellent shape as well as all the other parts. I am really excited about the white parts since all the nylon for this car will be white.

Not that hard to straighten chassis just becareful where you apply the pressure.Last one i did i turned it bottom up and stood on it and i weigh 233lbs.Worst part is if they siebenelch it and land it nose down in the dirt always bends it upwards.Easy fix then rebrace it better.Standard tub a little stiffer but with the right setup rigged up to wedge it in and bend down on it.Don
