I just searched your posts and saw that you have offered the repros in the past -- great work.

Both of you have really inspired me to do the rebuild ... maybe I *will* start collecting minty white bits after all instead of just re-dying my aweful (but intact) fluorescent yellow ones...

Pitty: I liked your attitude regarding restoration with all new parts. Why not make the yellow parts work with an assorted painttheme, assorted springs, ESC wiring etc. It could really set your buitl appart

Thanks for bringing me back to earth there.

Yellow or refurbished redyed it will be. Part of the enjoyment I get out of this is making the old parts new again, not binning them for unused ones (not that there is anything wrong with that, but it is profoundly different philosophically).

Besides, the cars of my adolescence were #1 Tamiya Falcon, #2 Kyosho Ultima #3 JRX2, followed by a long hiatus interrupted only briefly when I picked up this TRX-1 and some fresh NiCads to play with some kids while I was working with at a housing project 10 years ago ...

... so I've actually never even had a car with white nylon. Why start now?!

Whatever I do, I will post pics.

Great car and yes does have great steering. This car works well on bumpy tracks and was proven as a great car out the box as it made the worlds A final not so long after it was made. Superb all round car.
