That car is in much better condition than mine was when I started. Little soap & water will go a long way on it. Get it all cleaned up, correct axles on there, corrected/complete steering and have a blast.
I drove mine again today, couple cartwheels on the asphalt gave it the first of many rash marks to come. Can't wait to get to the track with it. Darn economy has held me back....

Thanks man! Yea I def know the feeling when it comes to the economy lol. I have a bad feeling I just made my rc habbit a lot worse by adding the gold pan to my collection. Its bad enough I already have over 30 rcs lol
Heh I so hate playing the waiting game lol. Got a question for those of you who run bl motors in these buggies. Will the 6 gear transmission hold up to something like a 3500-3800 kv motor? I'm looking at the new combo that castle came out with for the short course trucks and it has a 3800 kv motor. Just wondering if the trans would hold up. I also have a traxxas vxl combo on the way and that has a 3500 kv. Then again I could always run the Traxxas XL-5 from my slash with a 12 t 550 sized titan (stock xl5 motor)
I have a 17.5 in mine (I think they are about 2200). Back in the day, we ran 11, 12, 13 turn motors, so you should have no issue running KV around there. I plan on stepping up to a 10.5 once I get my buggy legs back (too long running short course). I have the VXL motor, it is fantastic in my HPI Blitz. I dont know how that motor would do in a buggy

Ah ok I can always run the 27 T trinity midnight 2 or 27t epic pro stock or even the 15t orion formula motor with the XL5 in the buggy. I just don't want to ruin the ko propo esc in it now by soldering on a deans plug on the motor lead. Another question I have is will a 3000 mah 7.2v stick pack fit in the battery tray as it is now across the pan or am I gonna need to relocate one of the battery tray pieces to run it?
My gold pan arrived today!! I did a quick inspection before heading out the door for a shift. It has an A stamp chassis on it. The seller included some extra parts. These included a hump style battery pack,spare wheels,a stock servo saver bellcrank,and some small parts. I still need the right side bellcrank to complete the stock style steering set up. During my check I removed one of the front wheels and the spacer behind it, then put the wheel back on in the stock location to ensure it will clear the steering arm when I install the axles from scr8p.
The wheels appear to be smaller then 2.2s so I'm not sure what size they are or what tires will work on them.

Will do! Just got home like 20 min ago and gave it another looking over. Def looking forward to cleaning it up and running it! Will try to get some pics later today. Might even get some of it with my B3 and B4.
I chose to remove the RX and esc for a moment to relocate the battery cup to the standard length wise location. Also relocated the RX to the side and moved the antenna mount. Which Cleaned up the appearance of the car a lot pretty fast. I still plan on tearing it down and doing the peroxide trick to clean up the white parts. Just wanted to change the lay out and maybe set it up as a runner to mess around with during the winter then do a full tear down and clean up closer to spring.

Thanks! I will try to get some better pics with my other camera in a bit. The wheels that came with it are kinda wierd...the rears are smaller then 2.2s i know that..but the fronts seem very close to 2.2 size since i was able to slip a pair of 2.2 losi tires on to them and the tires beads settled into the grooves on the rims properly..not seeing any gaps in the beads of the tires. So is it possable i have 2.2 front rims and 2.0 rears or something?
any 2.2 front should fit fine, I think traxxas may have some 2.0's out there still. I have heard rumors that the losi step pin 2.0 is still out there, I had thought it was version 2.0, but apparently it is the size
