Awesome pictures 'Vice!
That Jumbo-tron is amazingly huge! (I heard the screen is 60-yards long)

I started racing R/C's back in the mid-80's, I have remained a fan of Associated and Losi stuff (especially vintage :) ); I historically shunned non-race brands like Traxxas..
Until I finally gave in and got a Stampede some years ago - I am currently a big fan of Traxxas stuff. I recently ordered a Traxxas Grave Digger - I just thought the mini hand-carved tires and the colorful 'Digger body were too cool... I'll be selling my stock XL-5 'Pede soon.

BTW - I recently heard that Traxxas sells 60% of the world's R/C cars, in other words, more than ALL other brands COMBINED!

air force hooah!

ya know we can knock traxxas and these pedes all we want (oh and trust me, i will) but this sorta thing brings in ppl and money, they dont always stay but those that do spread their horizons and keep the lhs's alive and keep club numbers in the green

Yea, USAF truck won that night for second year in a row. Very cool stuff.

I am a hard core Associated fan but my first R/C "race" car was a Traxxas Bullet. It did not work well as a race car and this is the reason I switch to Asso but they do have some cool stuff now and a lot of potential in business and future racing.

Have to give it up to them.

As much as I might not like these trucks, my 6 year old thinks that they are cool. After all, these are the people Traxxas attracts to the hobby. Get them interested, learn a little, then get them an SC10!

my wife figured that out too...so now I call it like it is. Dear, I want a new truck/car, I will give my old worn out broken one to the boy, then we will have to buy parts to fix it...

I explained it like this...I can get a cheap roller, pickup a cheap 2.4 radio, pickup a cheap b.l. esc/motor combo and buy all the parts that are broke on the roller and then fix it every time she runs it because it is essentially someone elses wore out hand me down making this a very expensive cheap truck or buy a new one for less $ and just be done with it. She didn't really buy into it but I convinced myself so thats all that matters

Whether you like Traxxas vehicles or not, you have to appreciate the fact that they are bringing new blood into offroad racing everyday. I love the resurgence of 1/10 electric racing due to the SC's. I see people come in to the hobby shop because they saw a Traxxas advertisement.

They have the bashing market sewn up.
