RC10 TUBE FRAME BUILD

1 member here set up to build real racing tubular chassis a couple years back. About 15 of us put our names down for one and then he went silent for months. Later he started up the project again, generating a little less interest and dropping it again.
I guess not all 15 members are still onboard, and maybe some have found alternatives, but on the other hand there're more members on the board now. Anyway I think 15 in the inital run and some 1 by 1 in the time following is probably about the right numbers for a salesperspective.

SC... I think there would be little interest for a SC tubular chassis with the old RC10 drivetrain and suspension. Too many contemporary alternatives that are more purpose designed and fit for the task.

Chassis is complete... made from aircraft tubing (chrome-molly) i will powder coat later this week..

the buggy chassis will be all tube design.. the sc10 was going to be like that but some people wanted a bolt on version fast so we came up with that. we can do a complete tube chassis upgrade will be 1st of the year before we can have somthing there is more design involved with that.

cool. Been wanting an affordable tuber. There would pry be a market for a hybrid chassis like that for the b4 also. Another member built one and IIRC there was quite a liking of it and interest in a production of it.

Might be an idea to put up a poll for what people want with the options to get an idea of what is going to be more popular and worthwhile to make. Won't give you any 'after the idea' sales but would get you pointed in the right direction. You could give choices like:
1. rc10 buggy tuber chassis
2. rc10 buggy bolt on tuber cage for graphite chassis
3. sc10 bolt on cage
4. sc10 tuber chassis
5. b4 buggy bolt on tuber cage
and so on. You get the idea anyway. Might be something to help with your demographics you are lookin at on this board anyway.

Can't wait to see the rc10 tuber chassis. As long as they are affordable I would think that they would be a good seller. Something I was tinkerin around with back when the hype about these came up was a b44 based buggy to get 4wd into the mix but it seems I have more ideas than time to put them to practical use . Well anyway, keep us updated...

It's that or you been really thinking of tube chassis a lot. I hope when you dream of them at night there are girls with nothing or close to nothing on building the chassis

been wanting a tube chassis for a build for a long time but never can catch one affordably or one that gets from idea to production. When the board had one member gonna do this I gathered most of the parts from different 'build boxes' and was all ready to get started as soon as they parts graced us.

and yes...seems since married and the well has been drying up there are

We need to look at a price range before we get started on this.. the tube i use is around $4.15/ft. my cost (chrome-molly). i use to do the sprint chassis for 1/10th scale for $185.00 that was a full chassis plus waterjet cut tabs and powder coated. Like i said before the material(tube is high) but makes a top of the line chassis!!

I would pay extra for the top of the line chassis. I would be interested a tuber chassis RC10 like the Real Racing tuber.
