I think what Charlie was tring to tell you was that oilite bushing have oil impregnated right into the the material. so even if you wipe them off its still there, and will eventually tarnish you white parts

Wow, I got to tie a post into the thread of an author's signature and reference a classic 80's film all at one time!

I was going to whiten or buy newer whiter parts for my Dominator, but the discoloration grew on me so quickly that I just couldn't do it. :D I even kept the rusty steering link even though it was just threaded rod and I have tons of it on hand already. I'm not comparing an old Dom to a masterpiece like this, but just adding another point of view. :) In this case I think they're offering good advice and I'd probably throw some bearings in there. Clearly it's your car though. And a nice one at that! 8)

Thanks for the comments guys. I feel like a newb having to read a manual  I could throw a 1/8 Mugen together with my eyes closed :?

The only bushing so far has been the rear hub, and it was bone dry. Apparently they sat for awhile. Not really sure where bearings all go other that the tranny, lol.

it will be bone dry but it will still stain your white parts. You won't see the oil or feel it. Its like the oils in your skin. You can wash your skin but a little while later it is naturally oily again...unless you are like my brother in law and has scoriasis(?)

bearings in the tranny and wheels is about it. Won't have any anywhere else unless you start modding it like in the steering. You won't have to worry about that here though. Its lookin good so far...

Please DON'T SCAR or MARK UP the ball ends either! They shall be smooth and white after installation.
