Thanks for the kind words gomachv!gomachv wrote:Lightning hobbies was not lightning fast for me either but I saved a ton off using them instead of eBay and it wasn't thaaat long to get the parts. [quote="jamin"] I'd love a set of Trinity CR rear hubs on it too, that would be, oooh, soooo nice! I am after a Trinity front bulkhead too, I know who has one, just waiting for a reply quote]
I had a ton of trinity stuff nip a year ago bulkheads, servo mounts, tierods, front rear hubs. I wish I had kept it. I sold it in lots on here and on Ebay cheap as hell but isnt that always the way it works out.

Certainly is - its all about being in the right place at the right time.
I have a bulkhead, rear brace and shock bushings lined up for the end of the month, so its all good

Re: Jamin's Losi Street Weapon IWC Edition!
I tore down the weapon the other night, car is looking like a great buy, no signs of wear on any of the parts, so it all looks good...apart from the belts....oops!
I spoke to Horizon and none of the belts are available now - although the XX4 green front/side belts will fit so I've ordered those.
I've seen a few SW rear belts on ebay, but they are not Losi items, so I will have to hold out for a while longer...

Re: Jamin's Losi Street Weapon IWC Edition!
Have they just degraded with age Ben??
I remember the rear belt on the original SW used to break quite readily - the blue ones (I think) were the up-graded replacement.
As you say looks like a great buy otherwise

Re: Jamin's Losi Street Weapon IWC Edition!
Yeah they have, makes me think whether its actually worth replacing them as its only gonna sit on the shelf...
I've ordered a few goodies today from horizon, but the plan is to try and keep it IWC spec as much as possible.

Re: Jamin's Losi Street Weapon IWC Edition!
A few goodies arrived yesterday, which I'd thought I'd share with you all. TBH the chassis was like new, but the 'Graphite' logo on the underside was a little worn, so I decided to buy a new chassis and covers (anyone who has seen my others builds will know I like my cars to be MINT!). I also got hold of some titanium hinge pins to bling the car up a bit, two new belts (the XX4 version as the SW have not been available for a very long time), and some more nuts! Hehheee
I rebuilt the shocks and diffs tonight, all of the parts are mint so its was nice to just take them apart, clean them and then put them back together (although the rear diff had a HUGE amount of grease in it!).
I am going to keep the white adjusters as I think they help the car look like the IWC version, so I have also added some white nylon nuts to match them. Fingers crossed I'll have some Trinity items to bolt on soon, goes without saying

Love the white adjusters- What's an IWC? And, when are you building a RC10?

It's the graphite version of the original SW - to celebrate winning the first IFMAR world championship. Like the WE edition of the XX4.Charlie don't surf wrote:Love the white adjusters- What's an IWC? And, when are you building a RC10?
Ha, never say never, but although I can appreciate the heritage of the RC10, I never owned or really ever wanted to own one. Building up Losi cars are enough for me for now - please don't go putting ideas in my head - I've got 3 cars to build as it is!
