I think I just might widen my collection to cover a DS, the Z-28, did it for me!! Where did you get the chrome window moldings from?

   you have been corrupted

The chrome window moldings as well as the chrome bumpers are stickers included with the body.

If you get that body...trust me...you will love it. take your time cutting it, sanding edges and painting it. Take extra care when working with the stickers and you will have a body you will be proud of...

If you add one to your collection you definitely have to send me a link! KEEP ME POSTED!

OH by the way...be extremely careful if you are going to use Tamiya Orange paint on this car...Although the car is not a Dodge Charger, the paint gets confused. Once the vapors kick in you will be singing the theme song from "The Dukes of Hazzard" without even realizing it.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

UPDATE ALERT!!! UPDATE ALERT!!!

For those wanting to use a body that will clear the stock rear tires of the DS

The HPI series of 200mm bodies have a couple of samples measuring at Front200mm/Rear210mm

HPI 70 PLYMOUTH CUDA Front200mm/Rear210mm
HPI 70 DODGE CHALLENGER Front200mm/Rear210mm

Im working on the Dodge Challenger body. The DS & NDS rear stock hawg tires clear with no rub.

I will be posting pics as soon as the paint dries

Well the paint has dried, at least on the body, lol. I have to work on the rear spoiler and trunk/rear headlight lexan piece.

The Challenger

Update on the Camaro. Air intake and exhaust have been cut into the body and purple exhaust tip added.

Both cars are inching their way closer to being ready to run. Its only a matter of electronics. I also have a New Era roll bar on the way for the challenger.

Let me know what you guys think so far....The DS projects continue....

Thanks. I was going for a smaller diameter to stay scale but it would have restricted the motor a bit. Being that this DS has the stock exhaust, i didnt want to restrict it anymore than that.

So the big purple pipe won over

I cut a round slot out of the rear body so that it stays put.

I'm not a Mopar person at all but you did a really good job with the challenger body. The exhaust is pretty awesome too. Now it gonna look like a real Mopar smoking up the street when you take it out.

Thanks Todd, I had to improvise with the number plates....they came courtesy of a RC10GT decal set.

70 for the year of the body...Same for Camaro (69). I wish i had a set of decent of DS hawgs on the rear of the challenger; they clear the body so nicely...but they need to run true.

I um...how do i say this....i swiped the receiver from the NTC3 so i can install on one of the cars.

no need to worry, I wrote an IOU to the car....lol

Thanks Diggley!

Here is the latest update on the Camaro. I managed to squeeze in an on/off switch, fuel filter, fail-safe, and a battery status bar indicator and kept it all fairly neat.

Thanks Romulus22 for the "heat shrink tube wire tip" it made keeping things neat fairly easy.

The Camaro is now ready for the streets.

Now that the Camaro is practically finished i can now continue with the Challenger as soon as some servos arrive in the mail. In the mean time i started a restore job....an early version of a RC10GT(all white nylon parts and fiberglass towers). This was not an intended project but somehow it just happened and im going with the flow to see what i end up with. Will post a thread about that soon.

too many car projects, not enough time, so whats new?

Hope you guys enjoy.

A DS UPDATE on the 3 Amigos in my garage:

Electric DS:
Now sports Mustang body; HPI wheels and HPI Pirelli tires courtesy from the change in hubs. 3mm ofset in front & 9mm offset in rear. Bearings all around. Has quick take off but top end can be faster. Gear change on order. Some eye candy in form of RPM nuts but overall a clean & quick car. Brushless motor/esc combo to power car soon.

The Nitro DS Challenger "Pinky":
Now known around the apartment as "pinky" due to chassis swap; I thought it was funky to try. Hey, guess what? i like pepto bismol, lol. The bright pink only aids to highlight the inner workings. A Traxxas .15 engine coupled with a paris stiletto pipe powers this little gal. She sports the Challenger body. Bearings all around, this car is a sweet roller. She is short a receiver pack & the lexan trunk body/wing rear of being ready to run. Thats just a matter of me spray painting and mounting the parts. On the way are a set of titanium turnbuckles. This lil car is moving on up. soon buddy soon...soon you'll run the pavement.

Nitro DS Camaro:
This Car is ready to run and sports the Camaro body. Has bearings all around; modern wheels in the form of HPI vintage wheels with matching tires courtesy of a hub change. Rears have 6mm offset and the fronts have none. .12 OS engine powers this little guy coupled with a stock associated muffler. A New Era roll bar was added as well as an Orion Purple cooling head. This sports a pressure bottle...sweet.

A new body was painted to compliment the DS with the pink chassis, "pinky".

I kept the old school muscle car theme...A pink Plymouth Hemi Cuda.

Thanks man! Amazingly to know is that HPI has discontinued the Cuda clear body. I managed to get this one from an Airplane hobby shop.

Todd...i know i know...but i havent gotten a chance to record video or take pinky out for that matter.

You will be happy to know that ive taken the Mustang out a second time; it was a lot of fun. Gear change and brush-less motor/esc combo are next on the list for the Mustang.
