Awesome body idea Michael....Turbo Van-rage inspired by the van like boot
I'd be interested in a body if they weren't to expensive...maybe in the new year of course.

Sounds good. I loved the Mirage (body on the RC10 in my avatar). Was one of the best looking buggies aside from the stock one IMO.

Awesome R&D work. If that pic was any larger I'd print it and frame it.
BTW, how long did it take to do all of those R&D CAD drawings?

Re: Time for a new body
Thanks!
Before I can start making the body, I have to draw the chassis and all exponated parts, like shockstays, etc. That needs a little time. I have to take the original dimensions off all. After I can start designing the body. I can make the rough body-design transparent. So I can see, that the body will fit perfectly without trouble to other parts of the car.
For that RC10-Body I need mybe 6-8 hours. But to make it perfect I need some 2-3 days. Maybe more. Depends, I I am happy with the design, or not. Haha!

Re: Time for a new body
Hello there!
I had a little time to trim the new body.
I think, I am ready with design. I think, it´ss not a copy of a Turbo Mirage. Not really. I dont will add some air-intakes, or someting else. Should be a very clear and simple design.
BTW: the body is a little more narrow, than the Turbo Mirage.
In the next days I will get news about the price for production. We will see..
Maybe there is a hobby-shop, who wants to make distrubution of this thing. I am not a distributor.

Re: Time for a new body
Very nice, I have a question though, it seems you designed it with a RC10T rear shock tower, will it fit a stock RC10 without any problem?

Re: Time for a new body
The mold for the body is "higher downwards" and have no cutting lines. So you only have to trim your body to your hight of your car. With stock-shockstays the body is not so much slammend down, as with the RC10T-tower.
Thank you!
Michael

Re: Time for a new body
Looking good Michael.
You might want to put some more relief in the wing though: like ribs and a rounded leading edge: to give it more strength. As it is it looks like it will bent instead of giving pressure.
I don't own an rc10 but I have some parts which will make it either on the tuber chassis of Mikedealer, or a model inspired by your earlier creation: with rc10 T arms all around. It all depends on who's gonna spill the beans first. (hint, hint)
If it doesn't turn tuber, and the body looks fitting I may well be in for one of them.
