Where is it coming from? Looks like it's only been 10 days stince you won the auction. When was it posted? I have waited up to a month for parts to arrive from forign countries. So 10 days isn't very much.

It's coming from Paris, France (...hopefully).DHC6 wrote:Where is it coming from? Looks like it's only been 10 days stince you won the auction. When was it posted? I have waited up to a month for parts to arrive from forign countries. So 10 days isn't very much.
However, it's not necessarily the amount of time it's taking, this is more about poor communication on behalf of the seller. I've e-mailed him a few times already and the truck has been shipped on at least two occasions....

He seems genuine enough and I'm sure he is but the whole experience is proving to be a bit crap!

Re: Losi Jr T (eBay bargain)
So here we are at last, some photo's.....
40 Euro's worth of Junior T! Did I say bargain....?
Tyres are in good shape. Fronts aren't glued while the rears have only been glued on the outside bead....not a great job though.
At first sight everything looks good, however, on closer inspection there are a few issue's that need 'fixing'. This also looks to be a bit of a 'bitsa' truck which hasn't been put together very well and it also has a mixture of old and new parts.
There are a few scuffs and scrapes to the chassis but no visible wear marks to the RPM suspension arms.
Front end with the JG Mfg body mount.....although it quite clearly isn't complete.
Rear Pro SE shock tower is actually higher than the rear body mount which isn't much use....
...so a new rear body mount is on its way!

Errr! No I don't....Asso_man! wrote:You have a set of nice and rare MIP hard teflon coated shocks there!

As you can see from the above photo's the MIP shocks were obviously removed and replaced with some later Losi shocks. I'm not actually that bothered although it would have been nice......

Re: Losi Jr T (eBay bargain)
A few more photo's....
The motor plate shows sign of wear on the outside but there's no evidence that a motor was actually fitted...
Plastic bushings in the rear hubs.....same goes for the front wheels.
RPM Wide front arms look brand new and there are no marks to the JG body mount.
RPM Chassis brace also looks new but is attached with some slot-head screws, the ones in the rear being too short to hold it in place. Also, I'm a bit confused about the bit of chassis that's missing....odd!
The rear tie-rod ball studs are pushing the shock tower out at the bottom and is only held in place by the two centre screws.
The L/H side of the transmission case is cracked slightly which I know is quite common. The diff definitely needs attention as does the entire gear box as it feels very loose.......but no visible signs of a motor ever being fitted.

Most of it is but the tie-rod ends have been chewed up with pliers....jamin wrote:Looks pretty mint from the pics, good find I'd say!

Re: Losi Jr T (eBay bargain)
And a few more....
Here's the issue with the Pro SE shock tower and the rear body mount. The shock tower looks new so my guess is that it was put on to replace the standard Junior 2/T plastic version.
Minimal wear on the tyres, particularly the rears.
That missing bit of the chassis...
The RPM rear hubs. Very happy to have got these as I've never seen them before.....
JG MFg front skid plate / body mount. The underside of the top holes are countersunk but what about the body posts themselves? They weren't included so what would have been used? Any ideas?
Right, that should do it in terms of 'before' photo's so it's time to tear it down and start the rebuild.
Now the fun begins!

part of why the tower isnt sitting right is that on the pro se and lxt with that bulkhead and that thin shock tower, this spacer goes between. might set it right with its distance from ball stud also, if the ball stud is the correct length.

Re: Losi Jr T (eBay bargain)
Thanks! I've got a couple of those so I will fit one during the re-build and yes, you're correct in that the spacer should fix the problem.alien3t wrote:http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Losi-JRX2-Pro-Pro-SE-LXT-A-2024-REAR-SHOCK-TOWER-SPACER-NIB-New-/181566519449?pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a46353899
