Re: NIX10M
Hello All,
As you can see from earlier pictures in this topic, Jerzi caught me from track today
For starters - thanks RJ (again) of this great team project. At least start of it. I have a feeling this platform will have many variations in the future. It's nice and seamless to work with you. Thank you also Jake for cutting all needed prototype parts for us.
Earlier we made a twisted servo setup bellcranks (NIX62524 and NIX62525) for all RC10's and specially for RJ's previous car. My rere-Worlds had it also. After a while we started to talk about mid engine RC10's and for my surprise RJ sent me a picture of a mockup car. I had thought of it also and after realizing how close our visions really were - there where no other possibility than start to make it happen.
RJ is too modest saying this is my masterpiece as we started purely from his mockup car and even this current version has same chassis outline and wheelbase as RJ's mockup. Sure there's plenty of my design here also but the core shape came out of RJ's pen.
As beeing tested now with two cars we can say this platform really works. And this car jumps extremely well.
About the look I have to say I specially like the classic bodies cut in fresh new way creating a stylish side profile for the car. There is something familiar and still something totally new.

Should combine the 91 car suspension with this mid chassisRC10th wrote:I am proud to announce another one of Niki's masterpieces, the NIX10M. This project started about 8 months ago when we set out to build the most versatile mid mount RC10. It captures all of the features you'd want in a race car and enables you to build it the way you want, the possibilities are endless.

Re: NIX10M
Hi Guys,
Niki or RJ do you have pics of the mock up car?
Or drawings?
I don't know about others but I love the engineering side of the build, I would be very interested!
I like the White body it looks simple but Vintage and Modern, I love it!
Keep the pics coming!
Cheers, Dave.

Re: NIX10M
Well, one one at a time
At least I generally don't buy one unless I complete the previous build. It drives my nuts having unfinished builds. Don't get me wrong though, I have way more than just one unfinished build currently.

Re: NIX10M

I have 7 at the moment only one is what I would call finished.
The next closest would be my 10T needs a new body shell and paint.
Dave.

Re: NIX10M
Very cool guy's, I can't help thinking it would be great to pick a front end eg: truck style buggy nose, buggy nose or 91 worlds nose and have the chassis in one piece but that's just me. I don't like the separate nose piece for carbon chassis especially vintage themed, don't get me wrong this is beautiful and would be great for any collection shelf or runner it is just my opinion..

Re: NIX10M
Hey Bully, I checked those collars and while they aren't designed for standard shocks should still usable. They would fit better if you had some sort of flange to support the collar.
