I just put a set of 3D printed Andy's front arms on a car (from Shapeways). By the time I got them fitted up and working smoothly, I'd just assumed paying full price for originals.

Soak all the old nylon parts in water for a few days to rehydrate them.
yeah thats fair i just thought the metal would be stronger cause i plan to have some fun with this thing and its my first car.
I'm sure it is. But then you just move the breaking point somewhere else.
Honestly, if you want a car to bash with, buy a Traxxas. You can replace almost anything on them for under $5, and having to spend $10 would be uncommon.
Bashing with a 30+ year old car will get expensive.
Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.

Definitely agreed. I'm not going to be jumping it/ go SUPER fast(it has an RC airplane motor in it) but I don't really want to leave it to collect dust on the shelf
Anyway, I have ended up with a SC10B from a work mate with a broken front arm. He bought it from our shop a few months ago and proceeded to turn it partially into a canoe after 8 batteries on his front yard...

Update on this: I haven't butchered my RPM parts yet, as the importer here reckons they will have the genuine parts in this week.... We will see.
Hey guys just wondering if the front A arms from the xx-4 are the same for the xx. They seem to have the same part number. I need to re-stock my xx front arms. Plus I am slowly amassing the parts to put to gether a Kinwald XX.
where does one get the wider front a arms in white?

Adding to that, buy dirty ones. Clean with soap and water first. Some choppers clean with fairly aggressive solvents and could be contributing to the breakage. A good boil wouldn't hurt either
Does someone have the AE part # for the wider front A-arms (white) or something ese that would work ? I woud like to go alittle wider on the front vs. stock on my gold pan.
Thanks!

Excellent, I just wanted to make sure the 6206 fits. I found the arm mounts, caster blocks and steering blocks all in black too. Can find didly for the rear except for the RPM arms (so far)
Hey now what is the difference in the years of the short white a-arms and the longer white a-arms on gold tubs ? and how can you tell if the car came with the short ones or long, or if the nose plate is changed from one to the other ?

shorty is that your box art rc10?
if so its obviously very nice, but i'd like to know what paints were used.
and i only dye parts if they are stained from the sun or grease. i am a big fan on non-dyed parts but only when the white is REALLY white....
Does any one still make white white front arms for the Team/Worlds cars? I recall seeing some that are still made on the forum but cant find the thread now. Thanks
