To point out, I made a thread in the WTB section regarding a Reedy metal gear servo if anyone would happen to be looking to sell.

Been searching for a T4.1 FT body for a couples years now. Found one on the bay, located no more than 50 miles from home. Now I don't have to use the T4 RS "flame" body as a "will do" body (pictured in previous post). Stoked.
Probably won't do the Associated box art paint scheme pictured here on the bottom pic, but I will pay to get this one painted professionally. I'm open to offers and/or ideas...?

The truck looks great. That is one of my favorite truck bodies as well.

Recently swapped the AE silver springs with AE gold springs and added a Reedy RT1705A servo.

Having a hard deciding which direction to go with the motor and ESC... brushed or brushless. Current options in my stash...

Reedy Tri-Sonic "C" 13x3 brushed motor with either Novak Super Rooster or Novak GTX

Or, Novak XBR brushless ESC with either Novak SS 21.5 or SS 13.5

Also swapped the blue aluminum motor plate (AE # 9600B) with the Factory Team milled motor plate (AE # 1770), which I did not know was thinner than the non-milled motor plate, 3/32" vs 1/8" (or 2.35mm vs 3.15mm).

Looking good. I am looking forward to seeing your body painted. Thise are such cool looking bodies. I like that servo you installed. I bought one of them too because I thought it was a great lioking servo. I just haven't found a home for it yet.

That is cool how your calipers show fractions. I never knew that was a thing.

If you go brushed, my vote is for the GTX.

I may paint the body similar to the box art, but I just do not care much for the box art decals. Still undecided.

The caliper can be selected to show inches in both fractions or decimals, and also millimeters. Can't remember how old it is, but it's the first caliper I ever bought.

Mine too, GTX is more period correct I think since it was released circa 2002-2003. Not to mention the Super Rooster will be a tight squeeze to fit the chassis. As far as the Reedy Tri Sonic motor goes, I just remembered I also have Reedy Kr Krypton and Ti Titanium modified motors in the collection. So those are also up for debate.

Is this going to get much running, or primarily be a shelfer? For the shelf, the brushed setup is cooler to look at. The Super Rooster has more Novak vintage style and the GTX has more racing style. If it might get some runtime, the 13.5 brushless looks like a good choice.
Frankensteined RC10T3 / Franky Jr RC10GT-e (x2) / A+ stamp / Toy Story RC / Graphite replica / B1.5 BFG 5LTi / Clonewald / Hyper Hornet

Takes me back - my faithful T4 got used lots & for everything inc some ridiculously hard bashing, fantastic machine, fast, easy to drive, it was my first brushless (Novak) equipped car. I was a fool to sell it. Nice job sir!

It'll be a shelfer, I'm certain a brushed system will find a way in it.

Getting back around to this and added the brushed system and RX; Futaba R203GF receiver, Novak GTS esc & Reedy Ti 12x2 brushed motor. It'll be dressed with the T4 RS pre-painted body, shown here, until the T4.1 FT body gets painted and decaled. Haven't ran it yet besides on the stand to verify steering and throttle work.

Thanks, appreciate the compliment. Due to the amount of donuts that went into this, well I think this one will stay sitting pretty on the shelf. Just don't have a large desire to run it when I have the brushless T4.3 to bash off road, and man does it take a licking. Also the on-road specific T4 that's just silly fast and a ton of fun on pavement.
