Re: MIP 4x4 Ad and Part List
Does a good soul have a complete instruction manual for the old SP-2 4x4 MIP kit? I am mainly missing one or two sheets with the drawings explaining how to drill the rear bulkhead etc. Pretty please?

david, are you talking about notching it out for the chain/belt to go through?

yup, mainly, it seems I am actually missing the instruction sheet with the notching of the rear shock tower and a few other drawings... I'm sure either Erik, shodog, kenooze or Daz have the complete manual, they just have to read this post I guessscr8p wrote:david, are you talking about notching it out for the chain/belt to go through?

Re: MIP 4x4 Ad and Part List
jay posted the instructions for the legends kit, which shows how to do the alterations to the bulkhead. but, i don't know if it the same for the sp2 kit.

Re: MIP 4x4 Ad and Part List
I have that manual, but I think the notching is a bit different because the pulleys (mippets) are not exactly in the same place and requires two notches for the chain whereas the belt needs only one big slot...scr8p wrote:jay posted the instructions for the legends kit, which shows how to do the alterations to the bulkhead. but, i don't know if it the same for the sp2 kit.

It would appear that it did!mrlexan wrote:Looks like Ed was right (well kinda/sorta)..... if you read the above (the first post), it states you could purchase a belt drive replacement kit for the chain. I have not been able to determine that the belt drive was available in complete kit form prior to the Legends kit.

Re: MIP 4x4 Ad and Part List
Here is a better scan of parts list.bscotti wrote:With all the hub-bub lately on the 4wd conversions, I thought I'd post this ... nice MIP brochure and a parts list. Thought it might be helpful to you owners out there ... I have a higher resolution scan of both pages if anyone wants it. Just PM me your email.
