What happened to Doc (Clayface)? He was running 200mph on the forum and has all but disappeared now.

Clayface is waiting for parts, AHEM, lol. And waiting for decals, AHEM, AHEM, AHEM, lol.

Had to downshift to second gear and that only hits 35mph. I quit one of my jobs cause my boss didn't like to pay me on time and my bank likes to borrow $37.50 everytime there wasn't enough funds.

I linger now. I have 4 unbuilt new-built rigs going right now. I need to sell some stuff or rob a bank. Either way, Clayface still remains!!!! mUhahhahhhahhaaaaaaa!

Here is why I have been so quiet: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=140037

Well, after many fights with the wife, and many hours hiding in the hobby room (thus the fights), I have completed all three finally. I am so happy to have these back in my collection that I literally need to invent a time warp and go back to my track. I guess we all feel that way?! Who knows, maybe I am just overly nostalgic?

So, I already posted the LXT rebuild. Here are the (almost) new-built JRX-2 and JRX-T. Lots of money as we all know, but more love than anything. I really have had a great time.

Thank you Dacecoli (links, rods/ends, arms, etc), MrLexan (T wheels/tires), Eau Rouge (new screwset and nylons), Erich Reichert (Losi MTMm motor and JRX-2 body set on the way), Highwayracer (replacement T shocks), and the hours of searching this awesome site.

All three together:

Thanks again to all who care, lol.

Now I just need to put the remaining T together and sell it to make up for the parts and money.

Um, I don't know?! I thought that the white sliders were the penultimate ones for the accurate first run cars?

I know your cars are immaculate but do you think mine turned out well?

Oh, I forgot, does anyone have a new/slightly used original JRX-2 chassis plate that is not drilled?

Sweet rides Jon, sure makes a nice collection.

The buggy does appear to have several early parts, but the white sliders are not one of them. They were a later low friction item. If you’re going for the early look, consider dropping the front bumper, that came later too.

Still cool though, brings back memories, :D  and reminds me of how much work I have to get mine cleaned up. :(

Bongo is right, they were low friction and any of the white parts on any of the X2 series of cars where later parts. I don't know the year that they came out, but there was the front bulkhead that was done in white for both the X2/SE and also one for the XX. Actually, I have found that a black front BH for an XX is harder to find than any of the X2 parts..... I still don't have one.

Hmmmm, good to know.

I added the bumper for personal aesthetics. All my old rides had them. But I think I might take it off when I paint the body in a hopeful box art attempt.

I think my mind slipped on the slider issue. They came with the car and I got mis-matched in the head. Looks like I gotta find those as well now.

Very nice rides. Great job on the builds.
Now you have to build up some runners, and then a hopped up one, and then a hopped up one with the other parts you accumulated that you did not get to use on the first aftermarket build and then . . .
I started out just wanting to build one 5-link car like I had BITD, it's an addiction. If your wife gives you trouble just show her some of the group shots of the other board members collections. I've used the argument " at least I don't have as much stuff as Mrlexan or shodog" enough times that my wife actually knows who I am talking about.

Well, when she came home from work tonight the rides were upstairs still. I got the business, lol. Then I tried to explain to her that I need a new Losi Mini Crawler for our competition this weekend. Lets just say that I shouldn't have mentioned it!!!

Now that you mentioned it, I am going to make a runner. Although I have no track to play at, I am going to make a street T to bash up. I just need to decide what I can consider "bashable" as I am way to picky with builds.

Thanks for the comments.

Well, you know how hard that is going to be. Thankfully I have the repro for the 2 coming, but I cannot source decals for it. that and I know that there is not a single original T body that is up for sale anywhere. The stickers for the T are worse. But, we all know this.

All I can do is hope for some repros of the decals and maybe someday the T body.
