Losi Jrx family
Lazy Sundays are good for taking boudoir photos of r/c cars . . .
First up is a restored Jrx-Pro with JR's Choice motor, probably 90% new parts. One of the hardest bodies to find new.
Click for high res
Next up is a new built JRX-Pro SE with a Losi stock motor (Motown Missile going in soon).
Third is a new built Junior 2 with a Losi mild mod motor.
Fourth is a restored Jrx-t with a Monster Truck Madness motor. Practically all new parts except gearbox internals. Another hard to find new body.
Followed by a new built Junior T sporting a stock motor.
Last is my not-quite-finished LXT, the last model in the JRX series. Still a bit of work to do yet.

Oh and if your camera can be adjusted, try speeding up the shutter speed and decreasing the apeture (or letting less light in). The apeture is backwards on the numbers scale, the higher the number the less the light. Hope that makes sense. If you do this, the stuff will not be blown out.

You have a great collection indeed, and I can see where these new A-7600's will go, just should have told me to get the front A-7500's also (Or was that not standard for the LXT?)sixdub wrote:Thanks guys!
Will play with the cam settings, Jay. Thanks for the tips.
And I really think it's great you're putting in a lot of efforts on your pics.
Here's another tip that will help: try a darker background next time.
The white background and lots of light make the shutter close quickly. Because of that the dark plastic parts appear deep black; a little flat.
By using a dark background you'll reduce the contrast and an automatic camera can do a better job at choosing a good shuttertime/aperture.
With a darker back and a manual set up, you can actually use a smaller apperture (sorry to contrast you Jay)That will extend the lighting time further and increase the depth of focus. So you can get both the front and back focused even for close-up pics. Be sure to use a tripod and 2 sec delay trigger for any pic with a shutter time bigger than 1/60sec.
Goodluck, keep up the good work, Erik

I *think* the grey case only came on the LXT, not sure though. At the time the LXT was sold, the XX retrofit tranny was also available and it had a grey case, too. The grey case on my LXT came new in bag in a large lot of parts I bought.
A-7600s will go on the LXT, already have some new A-7500s for the front.
I'll try your photography tips also, Erik. Still learing a bunch about this stuff and my camera sucks.

Re: Losi Jrx family
Very nice collection!!! Does anyone know why some of the LXT's have a white front bulkhead? I'm assuming this indicates an early model LXT.
Thanks Limestang

90% sure the white is much later, like post production. I don't recall any coming with white out of the box

Re: Losi Jrx family
I believe that is correct, and part number did remain the same

Take some looking around, I stumbled into my local track shop. they have not been around maybe as long as the xxx buggy. and dont do gas cars, but had some in the past. Losi clearance bucket, 50% off there sat a white bulkhead, Sitting on LXT build. So some still float around. (this was 5 months agO)
