We already know how it turns out with our modern 4wd's so I'm willing to bet you'll whoop me with a vintage as well.

  you know, if you ran your truck in qualifiers, like you did in the main, you would've beaten me in the A-main.

Shooting for a good 4wd turnout, and good competition...

I would definitely run a Kyosho XRT Pro in Stadium Truck, there's one on ebay, it's been there for a while, but there are no parts to be found, well, not readily available....

Stick with your 10T. It's dialed!!

It's ok, no where near as dialed as you think, I have to rebuild it and replace worn out parts on it, I ran that thing almost as much as I ran my T4 when I started racing at RCHR.

I'd still run the 10T in mod class right now...

The good thing about the VONATs is, it gives you the chance to run cars that you wanted but could never afford. Having that said, maybe one of these days I can run a Sand Scorcher at the VONATs...

I really wish I had bought a Mr Lexan buggy body for my Buggy Champ to race with this year, I think it would have been a lot of fun. I did have a VW bug body for it, but no Sand Scorcher body mounts to fit it.

Rumor has it Tamiya might re re the Scorcher to be released before Xmas 2010.

The Rough Rider would have been a sight to see on the track! You better run it next year Scott!

Yeah, I should bring it next year. I'll definitely be in the Heavy Metal class and I'd like to run the LXT again. I don't know if I can manage 3 cars. Maybe I'll run the Buggy Champ in entry level instead of racing the LXT again. Plenty of time to decide.

that's not my problem. there are a few simple rules to follow for this race. if you can't abide by them, well..... then you can stand/sit and watch, or just stay home. this is my opinion, and anyone can feel free to dislike it.

apparently i wasn't done........

so who were they guys that were talking about uping the cutoff to '95 because they have t2's, b2's, xx-t's, etc...... and won't buy a pre-'94 car to race once a year? the local racers of rchr? if that's who it is, why couldn't you guys run a vintage class once or twice a month along with your regular program? atleast that way, they would get more use out of their pre-'94 car/truck investment.

I think the way it is set up is a good thing. pre-94 chassis, modern electronics and rubber. I tried the old school ESC/brushed motor and tires last year. The tires were too hard to remotely hook up on the modern track surface. I ran lipo and brushless this year, so much better. Lipo is so convenient as is brushless. No motor heat issues, no rushing to charge batteries between heats. For next year I will get a full set of personal transponders too. Those should take a bit of stress and time out of the equation for running 3 classes again.
The only problem with brushless is that it makes my litespeed motor plate useless, the motor barely gets over ambient temp
