came across this, i dont think its the same car at all but its interesting to look at, im tempted if i knew what it fit on lol
No disrespect, but I question some of his claims. Sorry, but 4/5 word descriptions and a title just don't build my buying confidence. I am sure that will piss him off, everything constructive or not seems to do so.

Have you seen the new cyrogen stuff on his website?
Whether F1 uses it or not, we are talking model cars. An RC10 or XXX seeing loads similar to that of an F1 car? That's like talking terms of scale miles per hour (which is BS BTW... scale mph means absolutely nothing). Just seems like a mis-use of money/investment (in money or time) to me. 20% of RC cars are alloy or metal.... and it's not like those 20% of parts fail every race.

he's had that carbon piece up for a quite a while. i always wondered what you could do with it. the rear tunnel is too much for an rc car. it would be a pain in the ass to get a rear end in there too.
I asked him a while back how it was in anyway related to an ISR chassis and how it was to be used. He could not provide a good answer to that, and I even asked of pics. It looks to be a homemade project, that was not though out to well. I mean heck it has no holes, or anything?
I checked out his cryogenic service and I too do not see the benefit in using it on most RC parts. For the rare, hard to find metal part it might be worth it but for the price he is charging I'd just buy spares.
I was told by a well known motor person that cryogenics didn't do anything to improve power numbers just made the comm more wear resistant, which in turn worn out brushes really quick. End result it was not worth the cost for electric motors.
THanks for the info. Are there any pics of the car Chris used? I see him pop up every now and then at on-road events here and there.
Here are some photos of an HPI 10GW car similar to what Chris Doseck used at the 1996 IFMAR 1/10 Worlds in Ontario, CA. I don't think this is Chris's chassis, but it is the body he used at the race. As you can see from the pics the size is in between a 1/10 and 1/12 car. I had noticed the lap times for 1/12 cars were faster than 1/10 cars, so we made a car that minimized the weight and size to the limit of the rules.
Also included are some pics of my RC10L from the 1992 IFMAR Worlds at the Ranch Pit Shop. The chassis is one of my custom plates that I used for oval and speed runs.
Kent, are you taking these photos, or are they stock photos? I ask because of the cracks on those front tires. Cream Dream either way, I'm just curious. They are pro quality for sure, but the dry tires made me curious. Thanks for the pics.

I shoot the photos myself. We have a photo studio at HPI so they're basically the same quality as the photos I shoot for ads, press releases etc. just not quite as cleaned up because of the time it takes to do that. The 10GW tires had a lot of cracks in them, which is normal for tires that are over 10 years old, especially if they've had tire sauce applied.
Who moderates and sets these scale standards anyways? Is it like womens pants, where they just put on whatever size they feel like? All four of these are 10th scale , and there is a HUGE difference between the Ultima and the Axial Score. Like a 10...

Accurate scales are getting really out of hand lately.
I know what you mean. I haven't been able to get a accurate set of bathroom scales in years.
Hey guys just recently relocated to round rock and have noticed there are no good places to race in Austin. I'm looking to put together some parking lot race's every once in a while. I have access to a large L-shaped lot(fresh asphalt, very...

I wanted to start a thread focusing on all the pictures (and discussions, comments welcome) available for all the actual IFMAR off-road 2wd and 4wd winning cars from 1984 till 2020. If you can post all 2WD and 4WD 10th scale buggy winners (from...

Really interesting reading that Dirt & Track magazine article from 1989 Offroad worlds. There was some new information from that race.
Dangerous thing, but I got to thinking today while browsing eBay. Has anyone tried fitting current 10th scale big bore springs to older 8th scale shocks...? I know most were a 13mm inner bore but I wonder if the spring diameters would be close...
everyone of us likes pics much better than anything else. so why not make an thread for all our full size cars.
i have a new car that i'm still working on (actually not much to do, installing new radio gear, stuff like that), but i'll wash...
