You might also want to ask if he has any full size cars stashed away that he no longer wants.
I'm told he has a 32 Ford with a blown SBC. I'm going to try to get over there myself as soon as I can. I will take pics of everything, including the Ford!
Thats just so beautiful! BTW im in GA so I can pick up my order if need be.
I will share the wealth once I figure out exactly what I will have to work with. I will also be extremely fair with everyone. After all, everybody here has been great to me so in turn I will do my best to return the support and assistance.
On a side note, my Radiant came in today. My boy called and asked if he could open the box. After looking at the car he asked, "where does the battery go?" Kids.....
I will be needing a set of new TF-8 Hot Laps front tires and matching rears (don't remember what the number was but they were the same, only wider). I will post it in the B/S/T section so please don't smack me Mr. Moderator. I just wanted to update everyone on the first half of my story, which was the Pro Radiant.
I can help for the TF8, the rear's TR8 looks more difficult to locate.
That's a nice story as evrybody may attempt with the serious motivation of a Gold extractor
When I traveled for the Euro's Off Road in Italy, I cross an Hobby Shop and come in. The guy distrib RPM, Composite Craft, Associated, Yokomo, Losi, Schumacher, Parma and some other brands.
Not so ship, but so rare
Ok, I went this morning to see what else was to be had. I spent an hour talking to the guy, who is a pretty cool guy (obviously). We talked about the good old days!! Anyway, I know you guys don't care about all that, so here's the good part. He gave me the rest of his stuff. I didn't get a chance to go through everything, but some of what I saw was: NIP sce batteries, NIP scr batteries, a bunch of NIP motors, NIP chargers, NIP tires (on road and off road), several on road cars, an Optima, a NIP Optima mid engine conversion kit, a NIP T-Maxx and box of parts, a ton of NIP bearings, NIP Tamiya F1 looking kit, old Bolink on road bodies, 2 Magnum PCM radios (one is NIP) and so much more.
Now, the part you guys all care about; I could not just take his stuff. It is not in me to do that so we came to a financial agreement. What that means for everyone is that once I go through it all I will probably offer some of the stuff up to the members. I may put some on eBay too. I will post pics as soon as I can, but I am working all 3 of my days off this weekend so you will have to be patient!
Below are a couple pictures of his 32 Ford I said I would post.
He bought it trying to get his grandson interested in r/c. I guess that fizzled out before he even took it out of the box. Sadly, the same grandson doesn't have much interest in anything else mechanical. In fact, the granddaughter (yes the one dating my son) will eventually get the 32 Ford since she is more interested in it that his grandson. I think my son found a keeper!!

Just make sure your boy doesnt screw it up, teenage boys and hormones will do that. I got a teenage boy of my own and wonder how the heck makes it everyday!
Jeff-
Thanks for sharing the photos and update. Tell your son he better take his girlfriend to the rc track and turn her into a racer.
What can you tell us about the grandfather's hobby shop. When did he start selling rc cars and did he ever race?
