what runners to you play with most?

Post by junkman »

Just out of curiosity, what cars do you get the most use out of. Die hard associated, or others. I probably get the most use out of my brushless emaxx, but just bought a stampede vxl, and 11.1 lipo today that I think is going to be the new top runner. Post up pics if you don't mind.

It depends on what Mood I am in. If I want to do some scale running, I usually either run my High Lift http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=51575&id=34 or my King Hauler http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=25576&id=34

If I want to bash, I would say my first choice is my WW2 http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=23782&id=34 gets ran the most. Then my its a toss up between my Xray T1 http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=40450&id=34 and Associated T3 http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=58619&id=34

I have had a ww2 for probably 2 years now and never put it together, I am sure it would be a fun truck. I bet those t3's do fly with 10 turns, def good runners.

I do most of my bashing with one of my GT's, but my T-maxx gets bashed pretty hard too. Occasionally I will bash the GT2, Revo, or Hyper7, but I usually just keep them clean and prepped to race. 8)

I usually do most of my running with the T4 Brushless (geared so it wont do wheelies before flipping over) or the TC4. Every once in a while I will run the Blackfoot or my RC10 DS Runner. The other DS is mint brand new and doesn't even really leave the house.
Sorry I don't have photos.

Lately my RB5 and ZX5 fight for the top spot, replacing my XX4. Falling way behind is my TMaxx and B4, I think I have only run 3 packs in my T4, ever. Soon, I hope to have my trailing arm RC10 runner ready, and it should take top spot on club racing nights. For bashing around the house, the TMaxx rules.

I run brushless in all my 4wd's, and plan on dropping one in the RC10 runner too

A man after my own heart! :P  I've got two clods that are my babies ... and I beat the ever loving $#!^ out of them. I had a Tmaxx for a while and never liked it - it was a POS out of the box and died an ugly death twice.

I've always pined after the bruiser, hilux, and mountaneer and found a hilux this summer. I've not done anything with it yet for lack of time and funds for the project, though I would love to build or have something awesome built from it. Being what it is, I don't know that I could run it though.

we run a lot of them, depending on where we are and which kids are playing.

Indoors we run a pair of tlt-1 trucks, geared down and with 4-cell packs

outdoors, my 15month old son loves to watch the rc-10GT. He walks over to the table in the garage and points and whines until I pick him up to show him the GT. If I put him down without starting it up, boy does he get mad. Kinda makes me proud :D Ironically my 4 yr old is afraid of the noise and usually runs inside to complain to mom.

The other one that gets used a lot is the beetle below. It was a christmas present for my daughter when she was 2. It's not as shiny now though

Now that i am in the process of obtaining more, I think i might restore my T2 to use as a running basher.

Tonight I will be running my 10T in a Vintage class at my local track and I can't wait! Also picking up anothr RC10 which I think I will use as a vintage racer as well. My competitive racer is my B4.

My primary "basher" is probably my converted HPI rally car that I made into a drifter.

Unfortunately, I stopped playing with these things as "toys" in about 1985. I've been trying to talk myself into a non-race or non-display vehicle for a while, and I think after the second house sells, I'm going to pick up an Axial Scorpion to screw around with.

I had a Mini-T for a little while, but I lost interest in it in about 15 minutes. :|

I dont post much but I read every day. I have a brushless e-savage. Its 1/10th where the savage is 1/8 so it doesnt share any parts. I have never owned a t/e-maxx but I hear the e-savage is 100 times more durable right out of the box. I have broken a couple drive shafts and a diff bevel gear output shaft and that is it after over 100 runs. Itll hit about 45 mph on 14 cells the way I have it geared now. When I want to slow it down, I can lower the motor timing with my esc and itll hit about 35 with increased run times and much lower motor temps. Lowering the suspension and changing the TVPs made an HUGE difference in handling. It handles very well, even at high speed, for something as heavy as it is.

Anyway, it gets the most use by far. I have a micro-t that I would run in the house, but my puppy quit being scared of it and now attacks it so it hasnt seen much use. I just picked up a beater t4 RTR off ebay for 100 bucks that should arrive soon. It might be nice to actually have something to talk about with you guys :)

If anyone is interested you can see more here: http://phemmin.ray.tc/rc

The e-savage was my first RC and I wasnt around in the glory days of the RC-10, but I continue to be fascinated by all of the variations you guys post. It is really cool stuff.

my crawlers by far get the most use.

i used to run the crap out of my rc10gt's, but the past couple of years i havent touched them. i particularly hate cleaning them up afterwards, that nitro stuff just gets everywhere...

Laugh if you like, but it's fun to drive something that doesn't need to be tweaked and tuned all the time:

(it's a Nikko "Hevy Hitter". My daughter and I removed the cheesy stickers and dug in to my old R/C decal stash to come up with the Turtle theme.)

Someday soon, I'm hoping to have my ESP2 Clod up and crawling:
