fun to see this 5year old thread relive, but I have to admit this car turned out a little disaster.
It was really going well, but within its first battery pack some pebbles made it into the drive train. Everything inside was destroyed; even the innerds of the gear diff didn't survive.

Where my first 4x4 conversion was borrowing a lot from the optima and mid, I'm trying to stay closer to the original ultima with this one.
Major reason: the belt running through the gear box was asking for a perfect sealing: which I did'nt have and...

Don't we all have such builds? It happens sometimes to me: I get stuck or realize a fundamental aspect in the car I can not solve in a proper way. Or another car comes along and looks...

I'm not sure where to post this. I just realized my 'new' rig is about 8 years out of production.

So this is vintage but not antique.

The servo saver is a very specific part that doesn't appear common to other kits.

So my buddy is giving me his sc104x4 and I was wondering who has one and how do you like it?

I built and drove one but have mixed opinions on it. The rear diff needs attention due to skipping gears which is quite common it seems. It is by far the most complex and difficult truck to work on.

The Tekno truck is fantastic and one of the best...

this winter 4x4 is goona be huge, i already sold my t4.1 and b4.1. I am iffy about this truck. i have seen some used ones on ebay which makes me leary to because they are so new....thx, dell
