Those old Quicksilvers were just a tad tight, for some of use the velcro sort of opens itself up over time.

Speaking of closure, what are you thinking for a body? Looking forward to seeing this one screwed together. :D

Great question............
Bodies are my weakness. Probably an original Protech with a very simple 80's paint job. This buggy is somewhat a replica of my first RC10 but there is no way that I am going to replicate my first brush painted body

It will be very similar to yours but not as cool because it is not my actual original car.

Little scary, both So Cal, both Early and dyed, both owned by Brian's :o

Ok, here are some new pics. Still need to install some period electronics and a body so I can cover up and detract from all of the flaws. I like to work with new parts so this build has been a challenge to keep it as a sympathetic restoration by not overdoing it. If this wasn't such an early car I probably would not have cleaned her up.

You did a great job on this. What do you have in mind for electronics?

Very nice job, Brian and a nice change of pace with the black parts, thanks for not dying them pink or purple as I have seem some like that from bitd.

Yup, it's a cream dream! 8) Just to add, I think I always prefer black because we raced on concrete track with foams growing up and over time they always got really nasty looking with the tire compound and foam dust combo.

Very nice work sir!

Just wondering though if you went with the long wheelbase position on the rear arm mounts for a reason?

No choice on the early cars unless you want to trim the bulkhead
