Eric my double ender wrench fits fine on the 8 lug nuts. Could your wrench got bent in shipping?

I have many sets from the last run, no issues at all here.shodog wrote:Eric my double ender wrench fits fine on the 8 lug nuts. Could your wrench got bent in shipping?

OH man. Just got my four sets and pick one at random to test if I had the wrench fitting issue discussed here. Nope, slid in and out like perfect glove. I am assumed it is an isolated issue?

Not bent, you can see and feel the lump where the tool didn't meet at the start. Don't make me the black sheep, why isn't this kind of karma directed towards the lottery?

Ahoy! Shodog, the SRB's will be for stock tyres- a split-5 spoke, to look more delicate & less clunky than usual. They also eliminate the gray drive disc in the rear for a cleaner look, & go right to the pin. Protos today, Email in 3 days if all is well.
Esaresky, give me your address & I'll git a new wrench out to ya immediately. It is possible that an oddball slips by my QC, & I stand behind everything I make as long as it does not cost me money, time, or hassle (
) I apologize! Chris REC

I like those wheels. Are they one piece? What will the price be?

It's alright. after thinking about it for a while, I took a cutter from my boring bar kit that was small enough and set it in the tool holder on my lathe. Interesting sight, seeing a part smaller than a thimble in a lathe 17" x 96toyranosaur wrote:Ahoy! I don't remember the SS, Champ, etc using a pin
wasn't the axle and wide 5 adapter one piece?

Chris machines an axle to go with the wheel. Hi SS baja wheels are made the same way.

Re: FINAL RUN of the Scale Nuts & Wrench Sets, Info & Giveaw
Ah! These are a 1-piece wheel, and the debate brings up a point: Did Tamiya use a 1-piece axle/wide 5 adapter on the original, and a pin to drive the wide 5 on the re-issue? If so, it is a simple matter to machine the Wide-5 into the wheel instead of the pin slot (I may offer both drives, maybe.)
They'll be $119.99, including the nuts. Starting this round, I'll be knocking $10 off for people who pay in full instead of doing the deposit thing- Make my life LOTS easier. So possibly $109.99 for the set, not bad for wheels to fit these cars that will not be re-issued ever.
Thanks for bringing this up Gents! Chris REC

Re: FINAL RUN of the Scale Nuts & Wrench Sets, Info & Giveaw
The rear axle is one of the differences between the rere and original. The original uses a five point hub that is pressed onto the axle whereas the rere uses and axle, pin and slip on hub. These wheels would easily fit the rere but not the original SS
